On Shelves This Week - Image 1Minus the digital downloads, this has to be one of the smallest batches we've seen on On Shelves. Talk about a dry batch - no AAA titles in this lineup. Anyway, there's still ArmA II for the PC if you're a die-hard FPS fan, or if you're a baseball fan, 2K Sports' The Bigs is also coming out this week. For the other two titles, read on for this edition of On Shelves This Week.

On Shelves This Week - Image 1This is a much, much better line-up for our On Shelves section this week. As in MUCH. One, the Transformers are finally rolling out (unfortch, Megan Fox won't be included in your game purchase). Two, Fight Night Round 4 is also stepping into the ring to knock you out with. Three, The Conduit is also set to make waves on your Wii, and so is the Resident Evil Archives. And of course, the ever-present DS games for the kids. Yes, it doesn't just stop at three. Go ahead, check out what else is there this week.

Armored Core 4 - Image 1

Perhaps one of the most inviting features of 505 Games' Armored Core 4 for the PlayStation 3 and the Xbox 360 is its online feature. This allows for players to battle each other over the PlayStation Network and Xbox Live. 505 Games has recently released information about the other features that will be added to the mecha-themed 360 and PS3 video game which makes Armored Core 4 the game to play when you're feeling uber competitive.

Xbox 360 gamers are promised to experience online and system link multiplayer action in games for up to 8 players. PS3 players, on the other hand, will be able to join in multiplayer online, with up to 8 people at a time. They will also be able to experience system link multiplayer through network cable, not to mention split-screen action for 2 players on the same PS3 unit.

Now, gather your teammates, friends, acquaintances, companies, enemies...whoever to join in the fun. Destroy! (Wait, that's something else entirely...)

Chart Track UK: all-platform top 10 games, June 2 - Image 1

Taking a gander over at UK's game sales tracker, we've spotted Disney Interactive's Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End taking top spot of the all-platforms chart for the week ending June 2. It has moved from the second spot to first, thanks to taking the top spots across the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PSP charts, while Wii, DS and PS2 gamers found other games more interesting.

Biggest newcomer is Eidos' Tomb Raider: Anniversary which solidly took top spot from nowhere, thanks to a solid fan support from gamers on Sony's PS2 and the Lara fan club on the PC. Activision's Spider-Man 3, formerly on top of the list for a good four weeks, is now dethroned and seated firmly at third spot.

Next Level's Mario Strikers Charged Football still takes a strong solid support from millions of Wii gamers, while taking the fourth spot on the charts. Konami's Pro Evolution Soccer 6 still solidly beats EA's FIFA 07, with the former spotted midway up the charts at number five and the latter blocking any other title from unseating it at the number 10 spot.
  1. Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End (Disney Interactive Studios)
  2. Tomb Raider: Anniversary (Eidos)
  3. Spider-Man 3 (Activision)
  4. Mario Strikers Charged Football (Nintendo)
  5. Pro Evolution Soccer 6 (Konami)
