Want some free love from Microsoft? Well, you're just in time because the Xbox Live Marketplace has just been updated with the addition of two new free demos. The two video game titles are Vampire Rain and Tenchu Z and the demo sizes are approximately 844.7MB and 641.8MB respectively.
First off, Vampire Rain was created by Artoon and will be published by AQ Interactive. The title itself is kind of a mix between survival horror, stealth, and shooting. Here, players are tasked to lead a black ops unit and eliminate the deadly Nightwalkers while keeping it secret the whole time. When you get the demo, you should be treated to two full missions as well as two experience trials. Quite interestingly, it also comes with an Xbox Live multiplayer experience unlike any other where you can experience the power of a Nightwalker first hand. The download is available for members in Australia, Canada, Hong Kong, Mexico, New Zealand, and Singapore. Then we have Tenchu Z, the localized version of hit Japanese title Tenchu Senran from From Software. The demo is available in all markets around the globe save for places in Asia. It includes a single player mission and pre-selected ninja accessories from the full game. Tenchu Z has recently gone gold and will be available in stores this coming June 12. |

Microsoft continues to gain support from Japanese developers, as three new titles are scheduled to be released in Europe on June 29. Players will be able to encounter hundreds of enemy craft in space, become a ninja in the dark age of feudal era Japan, or try to survive a rain-coated city filled with hideous creatures. First off is Project Sylpheed, a 3D space-shooter developed by Game Arts and published by gaming giant Square Enix. Engage in intense out-of-this-planet combat while being involved in a gripping story true to the developer's name. Add more than 50 minutes of pure CG cutscenes to that for the complete space-shooting experience. Next is Tenchu Senran, another installment to the long running ninja series developed by K2 and published by From Software. Just like its predecessors, stealth will play a major role as you do what ninjas do best - strike from the shadows with extreme accuracy. Run (or swing like Spider-Man with Tenchu's signature hook weapon) around feudal era Japan while utilizing ninja techniques. May it be on land or water or rooftops, just make sure your fingers are fast on the trigger as sword-based combat will also be involved. Last but not the least is Vampire Rain, a survival action game developed by Artoon and published by AQ Interactive. Move around a rain-soaked city in 3rd person view while trying to watch out for Nightwalkers, or else you'd be food for these vampire-like creatures. Your best bet for survival? Pray that rain will fall, these monsters are weakened by rain somehow. Don't forget your Necrovision to distinguish Nightwalkers from humans, or else you'd be dead before rain drops. With these Japanese-made titles expanding the 360's library, rest assured that more quality gaming time are yet to come. The interest of Japanese developers in making games for the box is also very promising for the future of Microsoft's console. |

As reported in a previous article, THQ and The Tetris Company have settled their differences to bring Tetris: The Grand Master Ace aka Tetris Evolution to the 360.That was specifically for the North American release. Eurogamer was able to corner a THQ UK spokesperson who informed them that there's nothing to announce regarding the title getting to European shores. According to the spokesperson, "It's not that I can't talk about it; we haven't got anything to announce." Tetris: The Grand Master Ace Tetris Evolution will feature single player and multiplayer modes of up to four players, customization and online play, plus an addition of new content and gameplay modes. Leaderboards and Achievements will be included also. We'll watch out for further announcements regarding this, so stay glued. CORRECTION: The original title of this article was "No Tetris for Europe?" As you can see by the text above, the article asserted that two different Tetris games were one and the same. However, Tetris: The Grand Master Ace or Tetris: The Grand Master Ace 4 (sometimes called "T4" for short), is not the same game as Tetris Evolution.

We've seen a lot of witches. There's Sabrina the sugary teen-age witch. Samantha the nose-wriggling domestic goddess from Bewitched. Then there's the trio of "wiatches" from Eastwick who took on Jack Nicholson. But Alicia of Bullet Witch may be the only trigger-happy, lead-pumping black magic babe in history. If you like your witches cackling over silly potions or fattening children before feasting on them, Alicia is none of that.
Alicia has a mission, you see, to save mankind from demons. While her magic is strong, her bullets are just as powerful. In this Bullet Witch gameplay trailer, Alicia demonstrates why the worst thing that could happen to you is to be a demon on the wrong end of her whatchamacallit! Bullet Witch from Atari and AQ Interactive is slated to shoot everything that moves in 2007. |

Yes, we know, a lot of people either hate or love Famitsu review scores, so we'll just show you a list of the games, the scores that go with the game, and leave the commentary up to you folks. Here are the latest Famitsu review scores, oh, and guess who's on top. Blue Dragon (Xbox 360, Microsoft): 10 / 9 / 9 / 9 - (37/40) As expected, Blue Dragon gets top scores. This blogger would like to say something pretentious right now, but no commentary, remember? Okay, okay, we couldn't help ourselves, Look at the scores for NFS Carbon and Vampire's Rain, despite those games being decidedly "western," it's comforting that they still got relatively decent scores. |

"In the centuries past, I was both the hunter and the hunted. Always wondering as to the reason of my very existence. I think I'll have that answer this day...I hate rain." Kind of poetic, don't you think? Honestly, we weren't expecting this much lyrical questioning from the movie clip of Vampire's Rain, found in the official site that just got launched, but the visuals and sound effects were nice nonetheless. In the official site, you'll get to know further about the game's world, character, game system, movie, screenshots, campaign, downloads, and more. Clicking each tab doesn't take long to load and you immediately get access to the particular info you must browse, such as the Game System's mission. The World's stage shows a steady scroll-down of the entire Vampire's Rain milieu. We really think the movie that you can play on your WM Player is cool (not just because it's in English). However, the rest of the site's text is written in Japanese. Vampire's Rain, a.k.a. Rain, is where special operative John Lloyd undertakes the mission of wiping out the vampires lurking in suburban L.A. The game is still under development for both the Xbox 360 and the PS3, so there's still little we know but a few heads-up from the Artoon and AQ Interactive. It's scheduled for release though, on January 2007. For the meantime, the site is a welcoming place for you to get some visuals on the game, so visit it via the link below. Have fun! |

Heading for the Xbox 360 and PS3, AQ Interactive's spooky stealth game is causing heads to turn (and necks to be punctured). Vampire's Rain is going back to the roots of making these vampires scary once again, as opposed to how movies seem to make them cool. Either way, no one seems to be griping. The game is looking strangely familiar, but the whole concept of creating fear in the player is making our necks itch in anticipation. There was a playable demo in the TGS 2006, and people have been wishy-washy about it. The controls are fine, the cut-scenes weren't really that "wow," the weapons that come along in the demo are quite limited. Yes. It's a very "Goldilocks" game: not too hot, not too cold. It's juuust right. But see. It's only the demo. Surely, they still have time to fix things up before its winter release. And if they do, the game might actually sneak up from behind with a surprising entrance. One thing everyone's been talking about though is that it might actually be more than just "killing vampires ala Sam Fisher" style. Because despite all the military spec-ops feel to it, there's still that nagging feeling about a mysterious little girl towards the end of the demo. Kind of like a Cheryl-moment from Silent Hill (PSone). Splash in the whole concept of occultism and things that go bump in the night - plus competitive multiplayer! - and you have the makings of a great game. |

Atari and AQ Interactive released an explosive new trailer for our gun-toting
witch, showcasing her ability to blow her enemies' brains using her
weapon. She also showed off her spell-casting skills, one of which is
the "Ancient Wall". As the name suggests, it brings up a wall that acts
as a temporary shield for her.The video also featured jaw-dropping fight scenes where Alicia manages to stay cool while slaying monsters and demons. Bullet Witch's story is set in 2013, so expect a futuristic look of a war-torn environment as Alicia fights to save humanity from extinction. A femme fatale indeed, this butt-kicking witch is set to grace your Xbox 360 on 2007 in North America and Europe. Download: [Bullet witch Japanese Trailer] Pre-order: [Bullet Witch] |
