Here's a gameplay video for the Xbox 360 build of the upcoming video game Avatar: The Burning Earth straight from Comic-Con 07 in San Diego. The title was recently announced by THQ and will be released as well on the Wii, DS, and PlayStation 2 platforms. In this clip, we get to see Aang and his friends get visited by a familiar foe.

This is the sequel to the recently released title Avatar: The Last Airbender. The Burning Earth takes place during the events of the second season in the Book of Earth. Details are still scarce as of now but it was said that characters Toph and Jet will be playable for the first time.

Aside from the above mentioned, players can also take control of Aang, Katara, and Sokka. Animal allies Momo and Appa will be playable as well during special air battles, not to mention the limited appearance of Zuko and Iroh. Updates as we get them, but in the meanwhile, just enjoy the video!

Based on the Avatar animated series, the cool-sounding Avatar: The Burning Earth is slated for release on the Microsoft Xbox 360, Nintendo Wii and the Nintendo DS. It puts you in the shoes of hero Aang who must save his land from the evil Fire Nation.

Aang, Katara, Sokka, Toph and Jet will be at your disposal to pit against your feisty enemies. You can play alone or with friends to complete the quest and save your crib from impending doom.

These three screens were taken from the game's Xbox 360 version. Details for the iterations in the Nintendo platforms are still scarce, but we'll fill you in for more as they come.

Thanks in part to some pretty aggressive price-slashing, EA's FIFA 07 and Need For Speed: Carbon have once again worked their way to the top of the UK videogame charts, getting the number one and number two positions respectively. In third place is another football (soccer for us folks in the U.S.) title: Konami's Pro Evolution Soccer 6.

THQ's recently released strategy title for the PC, Supreme Commander, has taken the number 4 slot, while THQ's Avatar: The Legend of Aang sits at number 5. For the rest of the top ten for the week ending February 17, check out the list below.
