tgsThe Xbox Live Marketplace has a bunch of goodies in store for everyone - all in the spirit of the imminent Tokyo Game Show. First of these include the Half-Life 2: Episode Two and Tenchu Senran trailers as well as a Tokyo Game Show picture pack. There are also map packs for Battle for Middle-Earth II: one for Aragorn's Journey (free today until September 29) and another for Northern Badlands (350 points). The Spades, Hearts, Backgammon and Bankshot Billiards on Xbox Live Arcade will now come with Vision camera.

More happy news for the Xbox fans: From today until September 29, Microsoft plans to release a lot of Xbox Live Arcade content and more -- from Halo 3 trailer to Call of Duty 3 demos -- all done to mark the passage of Tokyo Game Show and X06. Picture packs and themes for Alan Wake, Fable 2, Mass Effect and Forza Motorsport 2 will also be available.

In between, you'll also find a five-minute cut of the Tokyo Game Show briefing delivered earlier. Xbox 360 gamers in Japan will have a chance to download the Dead or Alive X2 E3 trailer, a Project Sylpheed trailer and a playable demo of Tenchu Senran. Fans in the US, on the other hand, will be able to see previews of the new Battlestar Galactica series in early October. Finally, in Europe, Xbox Live Gold access will be available to everyone for free between now until September 30, at 8am GMT.

LOTR: BFME

We earlier reported about the availability Aragorn's Journey Map Pack in the Marketplace. The first ever content pack for The Lord of the Rings: Battle for Middle Earth II sells for 700 Microsoft Points and some of you expressed through your comments that the price is just too darn steep. Well, it seems that some EA honchos is listening to your qualms.

EA recently announced through their official site that the map pack will be available for only 350 MS points or roughly $4.50 which is almost a 50% price cut. Just to refresh your memory, the package gives you three maps- Weathertop, Argonath and Umber. All of them are good for single player skirmishes as well as online multiplayer.
