Rock fans will get a special treat once Sacred 2: Fallen Angel comes out for the Xbox 360 and the PC: German rock band Blind Guardian will be making a guest appearance in the game in digitized form. (Would they have their own character classes?)And what would be the point of the band making a guest appearance if they don't give their own flavor of music to the game? They'll be recording a special song for the game, which will also be released as a single next year. Find out more in the full article. |

Ascaron Entertainment is still hard at work developing its upcoming Microsoft Xbox 360 and PC RPG Sacred 2: Fallen Angel. The video game is the sequel to its original game Sacred and it introduces new jobs, quests, and plotlines to boot. This time we've got the second job class, the Shadow Warrior, on display. Not a lot of specific details have been revealed by Ascaron Entertainment about the Shadow Warrior's abilities and nature, but they're giving us a glimpse of what he looks like in this Shadow Warrior "Light" art they released along with a recent press release. The word from the devs is that the game will be deeply customizable and will even allow class themes to take over the interface. Sacred 2: Fallen Angel is a Diablo-style role-player that sports some of the most unique classes ever seen in a game. Its side quest-oriented gameplay makes sure that you stick around long, and the main story keeps you feeling significant in how everything plays out. |

Sacred 2: Fallen Angel (Xbox 360, PC) is set to become one of the biggest action RPGs when it hits the shelves early next year. For now, we've got snippets of info about some of the six unique character classes that will be playable in the game - the Dryad, Seraphim, High Elf, Inquisitor, Temple Guardian and Shadow Warrior. Of the two available campaigns, Light and Shadow, the Seraphim is exclusive to the former while the Inquisitor to the latter. The rest have the choice of becoming heroes to save the world, or villains to wreak havoc. Mounts in the game are no mere means of transportation. Adventure and combat differ greatly when mounted, with access to devastating mounts that should give players an edge. The Seraphim, also known as Fallen Angels, side with the forces of light. They can use their wings as weapons or as protective armor. The tiger, a fast and powerful mount, is available only to these divine babes. Shadow Warriors are melee fighters brought back to life and trained by High Elves. Players who will choose these grunts can fight for the liberation of Ancaria, or live the path of one who seeks ultimate power. Along with the hellhound, a Shadow Warrior and his mount can trample anyone in the way. Ascaron Entertainment promises to bring more information to the table prior to the Sacred 2's release. We'll keep you posted, so watch this space. |

An announcement made earlier today by Ascaron Entertainment claimed that the European game developer has just partnered with the Electronic Sports World Cup (ESWC) Germany to provide exclusive competitive multiplayer matches and demonstrations of SACRED 2 Fallen Angel (for the PC and Xbox 360) in the upcoming Games Convention 2007 in Leipzig, Germany. In accordance with this partnership, SACRED 2 will be made available during the Games Convention Developers Conference (GCDC) 2007 by the ESWC Germany booths on the exhibition floors. Excerpts of the title's multiplayer features designed specifically for the event can be experienced in a 16-player match-up in an exclusive arena set up by the ESWC. A dedicated SACRED 2 registration page is scheduled to be available soon for interested applicants, and the event will periodically monitor and update rankings as the competition moves forward through the multi-day games exhibition. Nescho Topalov, managing director of Top Ideas Marketing & Events GmbH concluded the announcement, stating: SACRED 2 Fallen Angel will definitely claim a prominent place within eSports. Many fans, including eSports fans, are already showing a high interest in this extraordinary action RPG. We are very pleased to be able to present this title exclusively to our visitors. |

On the rise - teehee, how ironic - to the Xbox 360 and PC platforms is Sacred 2: Fallen Angel. Set 2,000 years back in the world of Ancaria, you better expect for the worst. And we're not just talking about fashion senses. Despite the hair-raising encounters with skimpy armor that'd do Vampirella justice, you're bound to come across far more frightening things: golems, mutants, demons, liches, minotaurs, the whole package. Lots of people have branded this game from Ascaron Entertainment as one of either two things: Diablo-clone or Diablo-killer. In the end, it's up to the gamers to decide. Maybe this new batch of screens can help? |
