Did you catch those high-performance arcade sticks in Evo 2009 back in July? If they weren't custom, they were from Mad Catz Interactive, manufacturers of controllers and gaming accessories fit for pros. They've now announced their latest gaming goods, and what they're rolling out is a line of controllers for Modern Warfare 2 and each of its versions: Xbox 360, PS3, and PC. |

It's been almost a week since we heard anything on the rumored
Microsoft handheld, it's unacceptable. Time to update it now, with a
more concrete, swirling mass of "not confirmed news". As reports would
have it, new images of the alleged Zune-Xbox handheld came out on the
Internet last night. So how does it look? Images and specifications after the jump. |

Are you a daily user of Bluetooth headsets? Well, IT staff members at Morrisville State College have discovered that "strange signals" emanate from Microsoft's Xbox 360 while plugged and the said signals can cause problems for Bluetooth headsets to synchronize with other phones.More details regarding this news after the jump. |

By this point, a lot of us are probably trying to do our last-minute shopping. And to make things just a little easier, publications both on and off the net churn out a "Top 10" of their most highly-recommended goodies for purchase. And speaking of "Top 10 " lists, we were scoping out a Microsoft site to figure what we'd be getting our significant others for the season, when we chanced upon their list. Aside from the usuals - The Xbox 360's controller to name a few, we spotted this other item that didn't quite fit in...A Nintendo Wiimote. Yeah, yeah, it just doesn't feel right that they're advertising their rival's centerpiece, but as the ad says: Why the Wii Remote without the Nintendo Wii? Because some clever hackers figure out how to get information out of it. The Wii Remote is actually a Bluetooth device that has an XYZ accelerometer in it. With some computing, one is able to figure out the tilt of the controller. Cost: $53.67 Now, just to put things in better perspective, the clause on the site does say these products are ideal programmable presents to get your resident tech fan. Given that, it does connect to the fact we've been looking at all sorts of hacks that have so far allowed Nintendo's bluetooth wonder to control PC's. Chalk up another strange sales pitch... |

A new website for the Xbox 360 is now open in Japan, and it's looking really savvy. Entering the site, you are welcomed by music that makes you feel as if you've just been transported to a magical forest, complete with pixies and fairy dust. It's just so pleasant, it could almost be a lullaby. Anyway, even though the music could bring you to dreamland, what's in the site is sure to keep you up. The front page of the site shows the product logo in a flat TV, alongside the console. Below the image of the TV rack are several designs of faceplates for the Xbox 360, which you can click on to have a closer look at the theme of the design. Now, there are four main divisions of the site. The first one caters to the peripherals and accessories of the console. Clicking on each item (the controller, headset, Bluetooth, live cam, and memory card) opens up a separate window, which gives you a basic description of the item. The second division appears to be some kind of commercial. We can't be too sure, cause when we clicked on play, it just kept loading. We guess they'd still have to fix that one. The third division is a slideshow of the Xbox Live. Pretty much, it appears to be some kind of video tour guide. Finally, the last division exhibits the different facets of the Xbox 360. From playing games, to checking out photos, to playing music, the Xbox 360 is sure to make things much more interesting. The animation is fascinating, with the characters acting out the different scenarios when the Xbox 360 could provide entertainment. And apparently, there's a vast opportunity out there to make this console work for you on more than just one occasion. It's fun. And it's in Japanese. But although you may not speak it, we're sure you'd still enjoy it. The experience of fun is, after all, universal. Click on the link below to visit the site. |
