Since the big presentation at E3, a lot of people have been waiting for the Facebook integration for Xbox Live (the rest have been hating the crap out of it). At any rate, stats show that a lot of people have logged in to Facebook through the new service, haters or not. By "a lot", I mean two million.

Rumors came out last week pointing to the release info for Project Natal, which included the margin, the price, even a number of launch titles to be available. When asked for comment, Xbox UK exec Neil Thompson flatly dismissed the rumors, saying they "weren't accurate" and that the kitchen's still cooking as far as the Natal release is concerned.

We didn't think there could be any bigger news this week than the release of Modern Warfare 2. Apparently, we were all wrong. Dead wrong. Modern Warfare 2's thunder-stealer: Microsoft's banhammer.

Major Nelson has announced that by next week, all Xbox Live users will be able to start enjoying the new social networking apps being added to the Dashboard. More after the jump.

To ensure that users get an age-appropriate environment, Microsoft has decided that the Twitter, Facebook, and Last.fm features soon-to-come on Xbox Live will be restricted to Xbox Live Gold users aged 18 and above. Minors, don't worry. Microsoft is now working on a patch to let you guys use the features, provided that your parents approve, that is.

Microsoft has completed another system update, and those connected to Xbox Live should be prompted to accept the mandatory update any time now, if they haven't gotten it already. Hold yer horses, though, young'un, this ranch ain't ridin' them fancy Facebook, Twitter, Last.fm, and Zune features just yet.

If there's anyone in the industry with such vocal, unwavering loyalty and confidence in his brand, it's Aaron Greenberg. Leave it to Microsoft's director of product management to turn an interview into an elaborate sales pitch. Despite the Xbox 360's current position in the sales department, Greenberg remains absolutely confident that they will still come out on top.

Those with a PS3 may be thrilled with the major exclusives arriving in the last quarter of the calendar, but leave it to Aaron Greenberg to shrug the incoming threats off and keep his confidence on the Xbox 360. In his interview with Eurogamer, Microsoft's director of product management explains that there's no need for Microsoft to worry about the PS3 exclusives since they're very much in shape against the competition.

Microsoft has announced that Xbox 360 owners will be able to download the new dashboard update starting next month. The update will add new features such as improved Netflix support, the Games on Demand service, and the Avatar Marketplace.

It was another frenzied week for the Xbox 360 blog, with beat-'em-up fighters and persistent zombies taking the lead in news items. Yep, am talking about Street Fighter IV and Left 4 Dead, parts 1 and 2. On the Industry side of things, Microsoft's been relatively quiet... Oh yeah, I hear they're being sued yet again. This time for patent infringement on the XBL.
