We're hungry for more Final Fantasy XIII (Xbox 360, PlayStation 3) and they know it. Instead of releasing gameplay vids and trailers here and there, Famitsu publisher Enterbrain decided to just capitalize on the demand and sell a magazine-and-DVD bundle of the stuff that everyone else releases for free. Oh well, this is what the holidays are for anyway.

The latest numbers in Japan are now in from Famitsu, showing strong sales of the PSP-3000. The industry as a whole seems to be suffering in the region though; the data says that sales keep falling since last year. But that's probably just because everyone in Japan already has a console. Japanese gaming magazine Famitsu recently gave out scores on today's hottest titles. Four reviewers would score a game on a scale to 10, with 10 being the highest. With a near-perfect score, it looks like Niko Bellic and the gangboys of Grand Theft Auto 4 (PS3, Xbox 360) bested the LittleBigSackboys in LittleBigPlanet - even by just a tiny margin. Oh, even more scans! Today we see another feature on the Fabula Nova Crystallis trio: FF13, FFV13, and FFA13. This time around, the scans are from Famitsu (yesterday's scans were from V-Jump, remember?). Here we see FF13's Snow getting a last name, Versus' tense chemistry between Noct and Stella, and Agito's battle system.

Guess who's back for another round in the Resident Evil franchise? For the third time now, Chris Redfield is going to be bumping into a very familiar face in Africa. Famitsu details other characters confirmed to appear in Resident Evil 5: one of them is Mr. Sunglasses here (the man usually quoted for his adamant insistence in not opening mansion doors), and the other, a new corporate baddie to strike fear on her enemies care of a scanty dress and a tight bun... like, hair bun, of course.

Level-5 may be especially busy with their White Knight Story, but that doesn't mean that's the only thing they're busying themselves with nowadays. For one, they'll be holding a press conference event in Tokyo next week, and according to them, there's a lot to be revealed at this event.

So what do Japanese gamers these days want to get their hands on the most? The latest list of most wanted games from Famitsu reveals a heavy leaning towards RPGs (mostly from Square Enix - no surprise there), with a healthy dose of other games from different genres, publishers, and platforms.
