Creating their own cut for the Halo Wars soundtrack apparently isn't enough for the Scissors Sisters. It was announced today that the group will be joining in on the Game with Fame event on Bungie's Halo 3 Multiplayer Beta over Xbox Live.On May 30, at 11:00 BST, Scissor Sisters will be playing members of the Xbox Live community from their hotel room in France, just before they get on stage later for their tour event. Now that's not the only thing rolling for the multiplayer beta event. You probably already know that a competition was launched for budding gamer/musicians to take part in the Xbox Soundtracks. If you are interested, then you might want to make a sprint for it as the competition ends on May 31. A group of judges will be picking from among the entries and the top picks will be the ones put up on the Xbox.com/music site for the public to decide which will take the cake. If your entry gets chosen, you will get the chance to head on over to a Universal Music studio to lay down your track. Cool, eh? Anyhow, back to the Game with Fame event, if you want to take part in that session, just email your name, age, nationality and gamertag to scissorsistersparis@gamewithfame.net. But if you just want to watch the Halo 3 multiplayer beta, then stay tuned to your Xbox Live until June 10. Surely, it's gonna be one heck of an event. |

When it comes to Xbox Live's Artist of the Month feature, February belonged to Good Charlotte. March, now, belongs to Modest Mouse. And as a first treat for all music fans, the band's music video for their song "Dashboard" is available for download now at the Marketplace. Modest Mouse is not entirely a newcomer. Hailing from Issaquah, Washington, they actually made their debut in the music scene back in 1994 sporting an indie label. Their career started to bloom in 2000 after they signed a record deal with Epic. They are scheduled to conduct a world tour for their current album "We Were Dead Before the Ship Even Sank." It's still early March and more details and goodies are expected to arrive soon. Schedules of their appearance in Game With Fame will be announced shortly. |

Good Charlotte

Got no date this Valentine's Day? Then make it Good Charlotte, as they keep you company for the whole month of February. Yep, the pop punk band from Waldorf, Maryland is set to be this month's artist of the month for Xbox Live, and they're set to make it good. There's a whole lot of fresh content over at the Marketplace and you can even catch the chance later this month to play against the band itself in an exclusive Game with Fame match. You can also check out their hit single "The River", along with music videos. They're all yours this month. But don't worry, if a full month of getting good graces from Good Charlotte ain't enough for you, their fourth and latest album, Good Morning Revival, is set to come out on March. So be on the lookout for that, too. Then again, why worry about something that's still yet to come, when you already have them waiting for you over at Xbox Live, right? |

Brady Quinn

It is every college football player's dream to become a pro and make it to the big leagues. Even former University of Notre Dame quarterback Brady Quinn himself possesses the same aspiration as well. As good as he already is (2006 Maxwell Award winner for college football's top player; a finalist for this past season's Heisman Trophy), Quinn tosses and turns at night wondering if he'll ever make it.Anyway, we brought up the topic because Microsoft is giving Xbox 360 owners a chance to have an inside look at the weekly routine of Quinn which will be showing his favorite video games, workouts, and training sessions leading up to the 2007 draft on April 28. Likewise, Quinn will be maintaining a weekly blog every Friday starting on February 9 on Xbox.com. Exclusive high-definition videos of select pre-draft workouts and training sessions along with footage of Quinn's everyday activities and appearances will be available for download at the Marketplace. What's more interesting about this is the culmination on April 27. On this day, fans will get to know what goes on inside his head at the eve of the draft in Game With Fame. Gold members can both interview and play games with Quinn. It seems like Brady Quinn is on his way to becoming a professional star. We wonder when he'll be playing in a pro football game. Next year perhaps? Oh well, that's still a long way to go. But for now, the rising star has these things to impart: I'm humbled by the opportunity to give fans a rare look at the physical and mental preparation it takes to make it in the pros. I'm excited to connect with people through Xbox as well as look forward to learning more about the video game community. I can't wait for the opportunity to kick back with the Xbox 360 community, chat about my experience and unwind with them over a few games on Xbox Live. |
