Ninety-Nine Nights 2 - Image 1It seems Feelplus' Ninety-Nine Nights II is no longer a Japan exclusive, if Gamefly is to be believed. A listing for the game was recently spotted in the online game rental service's database along with two other Xbox 360 titles.

Star Ocean: The Last Hope - Image 1I imagine that quite a few PS3 owners grew hopeful when a PS3 version of Star Ocean: The Last Hope was spotted on GameFly a couple of days back. Is the Xbox 360 exclusive JRPG finally crossing over to the Sony console? Square Enix says it was all a mistake.

Star Ocean: The Last Hope - Image 1Is Star Ocean: The Last Hope getting a PS3 release? For some reason, it seems online video game rental service GameFly thinks so since a PS3 version of the Xbox 360 exclusive is listed in their database.

Tornado Outbreak - Image 1Just as promised, Konami's teaser website for Kojima Productions' next project has opened its gates with blustery winds and flying cows (umm right, is Helen Hunt in the house?).

So what game is it? Gives a bit of a Heavy Rain vibe, but maybe that's just me. Some are already linking this to that "Tornado Outbreak" listing found a couple days ago, but only time will tell.

Midway Games' Stranglehold - Image 1

The results are in for GameFly's most requested games for the week ending September 7. Last week's "All platforms" chart sees Midway Games' Stranglehold overtaking 2K Games' Bioshock, which has sunk to fourth place. Second in the list is Electronic Art's (EA) Medal of Honor: Airborne, with Bungie Studio's Halo 3 sitting comfortably at third. Meanwhile, Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare caps the list at number five.

As some readers may have noticed, last week's most wanted has effectively been dominated by 360 titles. You may also notice below that the 360-specific chart is exactly the same as the "All platforms" chart.

For the other top picks in their specific platform chart, we have Nintendo's Metroid Prime 3: Corruption going strong as the most wanted for the Wii console, with Ninja Theory's Heavenly Sword making its cut as the PlayStation 3's top pick. For the portables, The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass holds first place for the DS; Capcom's Monster Hunter Freedom 2 is currently the PSP's most wanted game.

Gamefly charts still eye top-notching BioShock, Aug. 27 - Image 1

In the video game sales and rental scene in North America, GameFly has reported that 2K Australia and 2K Boston's BioShock is sill terrorizing at the top of the most requested games list, despite issues with widescreens and field of view. This would mark the horror first-person shooter's fourth week on top, for the week ending August 27, 2007.

The game was trailed by next-generation multi-platformer John Woo's Stranglehold by Midway Games, dodging contenders at second spot. Blue Dragon by Mistwalker has grabbed a solid third, although Nintendo's Metroid Prime 3: Corruption has taken a one spot dip to number five.

Get the top five most requested games per platform noted last week at the full article!

Battle for the Pacific - Image 1Last year, the tandem of The History Channel and Activision created an FPS called The History Channel Civil War: A Nation Divided which set users up on a role to defend the Union against the Confederate uprising. The game received a mixed bag of reviews, but now, the franchise is back for more, according to Gamefly.

With listings and finalized packshots, it's all but confirmed that a new installment called The History Channel: Battle for the Pacific is coming to the Nintendo Wii, Microsoft Xbox 360, and Sony PlayStation 3 on November 22nd of this year.

It's unconfirmed whether Cauldron will retain its role as series developer but there hasn't been any news to indicate any changes. The game is rated T for "teen" as an indication to the kind of content we're getting.

Gamefly has been pretty accurate about things like this, so it's a pretty safe bet to expect this title in the slated date. Let's hope the sequel to last year's iteration improves dramatically to get more of us into the interactive history lesson thing.
