Microsoft today announced that the Madden NFL 10 demo will be released exclusively on Xbox Live Marketplace on July 23, one week before its release on other platforms.

There's only a little over a month left until Madden NFL 10 officially hits retail, and so EA Sports is letting series fans have a taste of the latest Madden title by way of -- what else? -- a downloadable demo. But take note: there will be two demo versions -- an extra-special demo for those who pre-ordered and a vanilla version for everybody else. Details after the jump.

Analysts are skeptical as to how HP will pull it off, pointing to the fact that the console market grew by a third last year as compared to only 1 percent in growth for PC gaming.
