Omega Five, Natsume and Hudson Entertainment's upcoming downloadable shooter for the Microsoft Xbox 360, has quite the unlockable characters, and we get up close and personal with one of them. He may be old fashioned - he uses a katana to cut down foes, a stark contrast to the high-tech armaments of his fellow comrades - but Sensei's just as deadly. Let's take a look at what the go-to guy of the Omega Five team can do.Check out some Sensei info, screenshots, and trailer after the jump! |

Fans of the shooter genre will be thrilled to know that there's an update to Omega Five (by Hudson Entertainment for XBLA) in the form of a new character aptly named The Tempest. The Tempest is a mean thick-skinned, four-armed alien, wielding the nastiest elements as his weapons: Volcanic Fire, Corrosive Acid and even Molten Metal. The above weapons are pretty self-explanatory. Volcanic Fire is a fire-type attack, which can lock onto hapless targets. Corrosive Acid shoots liquid rounds in wide angles with a limited range. Effective for enemies that get a little bit too close for comfort. The third weapon type, Molten Metal, is the most deadliest: The Tempest hurls Molten Metal in deadly, boiling bursts, and is capable of shooting four bursts in one attack as an Alternate Weapon. The Tempest can also reflect enemy attacks using his Reflector Barrier, and dodge attacks by hiding in another dimension for a limited time, and even unleash a nuclear-level attack (after collecting 100 p-chips). Sounds like a force to be reckoned with? You bet he is. Stay tuned for more Omega Five updates! |

In case you missed our earlier article, Microsoft just had a preliminary conference for the upcoming Tokyo Game Show (TGS) 2007. Aside from Tomonobu Itagaki's live demonstration for the Xbox 360-exclusive Ninja Gaiden 2, a handful of full retail titles and Xbox Live games were announced as well.
One of those was Omega Five from developers Natsume and Hudson Entertainment. The new IP is actually a side-scrolling shooter set in a 3D environment where players can choose from multiple humanoid characters. All of these characters come with their own unique special attacks and upgradeable weapons. "Hudson is truly pleased to be working with Natsume on bringing an all new franchise to shooter fans worldwide. Omega Five promises to be the most challenging shooter in the Xbox Live Arcade library, and will appease the most hardcore fan of the genre", said Hudson Entertainment CEO and President John Greiner. Hudson said that Omega five will be ready for download in all Xbox Live regions this coming November. While waiting for the release, just take a look at these screenshots and other features for the game. The screenshots and features after the jump! |

We
all know Konami never holds anything back when it comes to big video
game events, and this year's E3 is no different. Just now, the gaming
giant announced nine games that will be showing off some flair under
Konami's belt during the party.Dance Dance Revolution: Hottest Party for the Wii is sure to dominate the dance floor, along with Dance Dance Revolution SuperNOVA 22 for the PS2 to revitalize the arcade hit that made players get off their comfortable couch to do some dancing and break some sweat. Featuring crowd favorite songs and new innovative game modes, we expect buckets of sweat and tons of fun. A couple more titles will be hitting the Wii: cutesy water droplet action Dewy's Adventure, and a fishing game Fishing Master developed by Hudson Entertainment. This new bait for angler orgy will feature the use of the Wiimote and Nunchuck as rod and reel, as players utilize different baits to hook up more than 100 fish in their quest to be the Fishing Master. Konami's PSP offering during E3 will include much anticipated Castlevania: Dracula X Chronicles from the undying, vampire slaying franchise. We have seen so much from this game that depriving people on E3 of a hands-on experience would be criminal. The mini-sized installment on what is arguably the best psychological horror series there is, Silent Hill, will be hitting Sony's handheld with Silent Hill Origins. Talks of Travis O'Grady trucking over the DS came up a few ways back, but it doesn't look like it'll happen this E3. More on this after the jump! |

We're sure you all know Bomberman, unless you've been collecting moss
under a rock for a good number of years. And as reported previously, a
new version of the classic video game is going to the Xbox 360's Live
Arcade as Bomberman Live.
Today, we've got two videos to make you realize just how much you've missed our intrepid white hero. One is a trailer for the upcoming title while the other one is a behind the scenes look at the makers of Bomberman Live, Hudson Entertainment. The trailer showcases the maps and the different customizations one can to the plain white Bomberman (we see a pirate, a Roman soldier dude, a viking, and a football jock to name a few). The behind the scenes look, on the other hand, is hilarious. The team who came up with Bomberman Live were wacky and the scenes are downright funny. There's this clip where French guy started arguing about Oui (Wii) and 360. Anyway, we won't spoil all of it. Better watch the Bomberman Live videos before they start ticking as well. Enjoy! The behind the scenes video comes after the jump! |

"Tick-tock" goes the bomb and "boom" goes XBL: Bomberman Live is now set for a summer release. Yep, the elusive title's finally got CONFIRMED written all over it. Because while we've seen some rather leaky pictures of the game just a few days ago, Hudson Entertainment (that's the North American branch of the Hudson Soft corporate umbrella) has now officially confirmed the title with not just its projected release date but a whole list of details as well:
As our flagship series, Bomberman has been hailed as the best multiplayer game ever created. Now that Xbox Live Arcade delivers a truly worldwide multiplayer gaming platform, we can at last bring to market a Bomberman game that represents our long-term vision of the brand. |
