If The Internet Movie Database, or IMDb, has it right, then we're looking at the stars cast for the upcoming film based on the Namco Bandai fighting game series, Tekken. As it is, the cast listing indicates that Jackie Chan, WWE Superstar Dave Batista, and Ron Perlman are all in it. Who're they playing? Read up and find out. |

What's next for EA Montreal? Well, there's Need for Speed Nitro for the Nintendo's Wii and DS consoles, but apparently that's not the only project the studio is working on. Electronic
Arts has revealed in a press release that they will be publicly
announcing a new game from EA Montreal next Thursday, March 12. |

If Capcom revealed the cast of Resident Evil 5, the whole gaming world would probably know about it. Sadly, the company is still keeping that info under wraps. IMDB however, hosts a list of some stars from different backgrounds - all of them under Biohazard 5's belt.
It is noted that "Because this project is categorized as being in production, the data is subject to change; some data could be removed completely," but the selection of characters alone make quite an interesting revelation. Dead guys Osmund Saddler (RE 4) and Steve Burnside (RE: Code Veronica) are apparently making a comeback. Ada supposedly died in RE 2 but came back alive and kicking to help Leon in RE 4, but it's pretty hard to imagine how Saddler and Steve could've survived their death scenes. Assuming that the list is real, either they both appear in flashbacks or we're up for a radical spin on Resident Evil's story. It's also difficult to miss that Chris Redfield isn't around, considering that the first trailer unveiled made everyone believe Chris will be the main character. Yoko Suzuki and Rita from Outbreak also made the cut; will they be the next RE stars? Here's the list - feel free to make your own speculations.

Maybe the movie would be both animated and interactive, as NeoGAF Forum contributors speculate. Although there was not much revealed about the Halo movie that Bungie and critically-acclaimed movie maker Peter Jackson made known a long time ago, it appears people assumed that the movie was probably going to be animated when it debuts 2008.
But a recent update to the interview by GameSpy with Microsoft Game Studios' Shane Kim identified the game as a collaborative interactive piece, and not the animated stance insinuated by GameSpy before the correction was made. And that's not all: it could be that the "movie" will turn into not just one piece, but a series. Kim stated in the interview: Bungie is working directly with Peter Jackson on the Halo interactive series, and Bungie will definitely be involved, and continue to be involved on Halo. ... I'm not sure about the specifics. They'll be done with Halo 3 this year, but we haven't announced any dates on the Halo 3 series. So that makes it an interactive series based off on Halo 3. Whether it's going to be story based on the events before, after, or during Halo 3 is still an unanswered question, though it was mentioned in IMDb to have taken the original story of Halo: Combat Evolved. Shane stated earlier in the interview that Microsoft was giving them some breathing room to call the shots. Kim's answer to GameSpy's question asking if Bungie was going to tailor the storyline went a little like this: But like any creative entity, I know that Bungie has other stories that
they want to tell. It's a tricky situation for them. They have a lot of
people that are obviously very passionate about Halo, and they also
have some people that are interested in telling other stories and doing
new things. That's part of the studio process, where they have to
figure out what they want to do, and we have to support them on our
side as a publisher. Well, thanks to the "not sure" bit, we know that everything stated at this point in time is not etched in stone. But it does open a lot of out-of-this-world-suggestions from the many fans of the franchise. |

While Dead or Alive was actually a nice action movie, it wasn't exactly the kind of thing that pushed video gaming as something serious and worth fighting for. Actually, the words "soft", "core", and "pornography" come to mind when faced with the whole plot behind it.Luckily, America will not suffer the same fate. Only the most persistent fans of videogame movies or of Team Ninja's game itself will be able to see it on something larger than a TV screen. The DOA movie is poised to hit store shelves rather than theaters, it seems. Kotaku notes the IMDB entry, saying that the film won't be headed to movie theaters. Instead, it will have a direct-to-DVD release in the U.S. sometime in April. Expect the DVD version to have deleted scenes (the parts with the conversations and stuff), outtakes (the one where Corey Yuen cries himself to sleep while making this), and extended beach volleyball action (no comment). |

Uwe Boll is not a very loved name in the intarweb. The German director is responsible for movie adaptations of video games that have received their fair share of "attention" in the flame-war ridden world of Internet movie forums.
Remember BloodRayne (2005), Alone in the Dark (2005), and House of the Dead (2003)? Well if you check out his IMDB profile he's also set to make Far Cry (2008), Postal (2007), and In the Name of the King: A Dungeon Siege Tale (2007). But nothing's ever final in Hollywood, and that's not what this post is about. This post is about Uwe and him being a very stand-up kind of guy. Like him or hate him. Adore or abhor his works, at least he's the type of guy who is always ready to face his critics. Face them in the boxing ring that is. Play the video below. Enjoy. |

The Lost Planet was a B-movie from 1953 that featured a ship that looked like a flying turnip. In it, two newspaper reporters "battle a plot by the evil Dr. Grood to conquer the world." That quote's straight from the IMDB. Now what we have here is a totally different species. This is Lost Planet for the Xbox 360. Capcom's Lost Planet is a sci-fi action shooter set in the merciless frozen tundra of a hostile planet. In these harsh conditions, humans struggle for survival against their fellow humans, the planet's native creatures, and the monstrous beings that have invaded. See the difference? Now which would you rather see screenshots of: a flying turnip or futuristic battlesuits taking on some giant bugs? Yep, we thought so. We also have some Lost Planet character art for you guys, so check those out too. Enjoy, people.

The Internet Movie DataBase apparently has the credits for the next game in the Grand Theft Auto Series; Grand Theft Auto 4 (scheduled for release October 2007 for PS3 and 360). The page has two familiar names listed under cast, namely
Lazlow Jones and Navid Khonsari. Both of them have been voice actors for a GTA game before. Jones has been one of the infamous radio DJ's since GTA3, and Khonsari had some small parts in Vice City and San Andreas, such as Dwayne the garage dude.Navid Khonsari, unlike Lazlow Jones, has been a voice actor in other (Rockstar) series too. One of the bigger credits are Manhunt and Max Payne. Others include The Warriors and Smuggler's Run. IMDB has made "predictions" like this before, and they've usually been proven to be true so expect some familiar voices in Rockstar's upcoming hit. |
