Hands down, the biggest news for this week coming from Microsoft would
be the flub by their CEO, Steve Ballmer, at a conference, saying that a
"new Xbox 360" will be released in 2010. Only to have his VPs and
Directors come rushing forth to do some damage control before all hell
breaks loose from disappointed fans who have been waiting and wishing
and praying for a new console. It was a dark cloud that hung above the Xbox 360 state of affairs,
casting heavy shadows on other news that came out, though not
necessarily miniscule by themselves. See what I mean after the jump in this
week's Warrior recap. |

As it turns out, the E3 2009 Press Conference of Microsoft
was to be John Schappert's last big gig with the company. Reports got
out today saying that the man who handled Xbox Live and MS Game Studios
has left the building to make his way back into his old employer,
Electronic Arts. |

Didn't you find it even just remotely curious that Microsoft allowed a
game harboring the word "gay" in its title, and yet at the same time
they refuse to allow their Xbox Live users from even hinting that
they're gay in their profiles? The game referred to above would be Grand Theft Auto: The Ballad of Gay Tony, and their answer to the gay profiles remains to be a no. |

You've seen it, you've read about it, you may have even watched the conference vid that lasted nearly two hours. It's Microsoft's run at the spotlight this time, and we're doing a quick run-through of all the games and all the juicy details in between. With 10 world premieres, an impressive slate of exclusives, and a motion-sensor that's set to raise the bar for the technology, Microsoft's E3 2009 Press Conference added buzz to the gaming scene that we'll be talking about for months to come. |

John Schappert, Microsoft Xbox Live Boss, says that he'd "love to see [Metal Gear Solid 4] on our machine." Well looks like someone wasn't listening to Kojima when he said to stop asking for an Xbox 360 version already.More aimless dreaming in the full article. |

Fun fact, folks. Did you know that a third of all Xbox Live downloads are comprised of videos? Microsoft's John Schappert talked all about it in an interview with MCV, and you can find out more about it after the jump. |

It seems that Xbox Live Arcade gamers won't have the same high definition luxury their PSN and PC counterparts will be getting when they play Capcom's upcoming Bionic Commando: Rearmed. Capcom's Ben Judd explained that the XBLA version of the game may have lower resolution textures across the game due to the XBLA's 150MB limit on file sizes. For more information, check out the full article. |
