The Bourne Conspiracy - Image 1In this day and age of violence, decapitations and body bisections are pretty much run-of-the-mill in terms of shock value. But what about the more realistic, more painful-looking stuff? Arms broken, kneecaps dislocated, shoving a pen into a digital bad guy's fist? Robert Ludlum's The Bourne Conspiracy (Xbox 360, PS3) has our back on this particular experience. Check out the video in the full article and see what we mean.

The Bourne Conspiracy logo - Image 1It's easy to compare Robert Ludlum's The Bourne Conspiracy (Xbox 360, PlayStation 3) to James Bond games when similarities are apparent, but after hearing more about its hand-to-hand combat, we're convinced that Jason Bourne can pull more punches. He doesn't have gadgets up his sleeves since mano y mano fistfights is more of his style. Find out what we're talking about at the full article.

Vosloo - Image 1There's no doubt that Chow Yun-Fat is doing his own character's voice in the upcoming action game Stranglehold, but light has been shed lately on who the supporting cast will be. We were thrilled with what we found out recently as top talents happen to be in the roster.

Spearheading the support cast is Arnold Vosloo. The name may not ring a bell, but if you remember the movies "The Mummy" and "The Mummy Returns", you know the guy because he's the mummy himself. He also played the role of the African mercenary colonel in Blood Diamond.

Randall Duk Kim from "The Matrix Reloaded" and "Enter the Matrix" is also in the mix along with other industry veterans like Grant George, David Lodge, Lydia Look, Neil Kaplan, Stephanie Sheh, Michael Sorich, Russell Wong, Danny Bernardo, Jin Kim, Phuoc Nguyen, Andrew Lee, Joseph Yau, Philip Chan, Ronal A. Cheng and Alexander Brandon.

Screenshots and videos have revealed that the game carries that distinctive and gritty atmosphere that separate John Woo's flicks from the rest. The action also seems very "Asian" with martial arts-inspired moves like kicking off walls and stylish close combat. Will Woo's film mastery along with a talented cast be complimented by an equally engrossing game? We'll see. Right now, it's safe to say that Stranglehold shows some serious promise.

Any self-respecting martial arts fan would know Bruce Lee through and through. It's undeniable that this one man revitalized the industry of Chinese action films. Thanks to his godly skill, even the west accepted these movie flicks. Unfortunately, Lee's success never carried over to the video game scene. A few may argue, but Bruce Lee: Quest of Dragon for Xbox was a major flop.

Even so, Bruce Lee's legacy can never be questioned. A martial artist and philosopher; his feats and ideas were respected by the greatest masters on both fields. Such a great man deserve nothing less of an epic video game of himself. While we don't know if something like that would come out, his daughter Shannon Lee did confirm that there's been "some talk" that they're excited about.

Skeptical about it? Check the video yourself.

Toshiro - Image 1Want to monkey it up next-gen style? Gamecock has that covered as it unleashes Hail to the Chimp for the Microsoft Xbox 360 and the Sony PlayStation 3. It's a party game like no other.

Hail to the Chimp takes place, as you may guess, in the jungle where a political scandal has led to the ouster of the current king who is naturally a lion. Seeing the opportunity, 10 wild beasts are all contending for the vacant throne and everyone's willing to do anything to get it. Check out the image of Toshiro, the martial arts octopus!

Developer Wideload says that what it brings to the table with Hail to the Chimp is something truly original. "No one has attempted to bring an over-the-top party game like Hail to the Chimp to next-gen consoles, much less one with biting political satire,"says Gamecock console chief Rick Stults.

Not a lot of details have been revealed regarding the details, but Gamecock says that the political undertone of the game will show in the way that players can form alliances and back-stab each other in the end. It's an interesting concept to say the least, and we'll keep you updated for more news on this furry prospect.
