Warner Bros. and Monolith Studios have announced a new DLC pack for F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin players to enjoy this September. The DLC pack, called F.E.A.R. 2: Reborn, will feature four new levels for the single-player campaign that coincide with the events in Project Origin. There's also a new title update that adds a little something to the game's multiplayer component. Details after the jump.

While ports are definitely a good way of spreading the love, so to speak, when it comes to game titles, there are still those instances that also do contribute to the negative end of the spectrum. Case in point, Monolith's F.E.A.R. (Xbox 360, PS3, PC) franchise.

Score one for Warner Bros. They've apparently been able to convince the Australian Office of Film and Literature Classification (OFLC) to lift the ban on F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin (Xbox 360, PS3, PC). More details after the jump.

Blood. Lots and lots of blood.

That's one of the many reasons - most of them related to blood and the methods of making bodies spurt quarts of the stuff - why Monolith Productions' F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin (Xbox 360, PS3, PC) didn't make it past Australia's Office of Film and Literature Classification (OFLC).

Sorry to the Australians who were waiting on this game: F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin (Xbox 360, PS3, PC) was refused classification by the Australian government, meaning the game cannot be sold in stores (not legally, anyway) - unsurprising, but disappointing nonetheless.

 Space and the feeling of confinement is one of the elements that made F.E.A.R. a very successful horror game. It's official. Monolith's Project Origin (PC, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3) will no longer be a "spiritual successful" to their own hit shooter F.E.A.R. Instead, it's now a full-blown sequel. yes folks, after a peculiar set of circumstances that left Monolith without the rights to their own game's name, they have finally regained access to the F.E.A.R. brand.

Monolith Productions has released a new trailer for their upcoming horror-FPS, Project Origin, just in time for this year's E3. Alma will be making an appearance, as will several new firefights and cutscenes hinting at the game's plot. The video's available over in the full article.

We know that curiosity killed the cat, but when you're a Delta Force operative, you need to look for the trouble's origin. In Monolith Productions' upcoming survival horror video game, Project Origin (PC, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3), you'll be meeting a lot of baddies and they will not be pleasant.
