Hope - Image 1I'm sure I'm not the only one curious about what exactly Alexander is. Sometimes, he's a castle, sometimes a machine, sometimes he's like a statue. For Final Fantasy XIII, the big boy's a mecha. New screens and info popped up again, featuring the Esper in action, plus some Chocobo-riding, and the new Crystarium system.

Albert Wesker - Image 1Albert Wesker is so cool that he can wear sunglasses at night, and if you dare call him on it he can rip your spine out. Heck, he's so cool that he even sports his signature shades while hunting Akrid. Wait, what? Details after the jump.

Xbox 360 Weekend Warrior - Image 1We didn't think there could be any bigger news this week than the release of Modern Warfare 2. Apparently, we were all wrong. Dead wrong. Modern Warfare 2's thunder-stealer: Microsoft's banhammer.

Modern Warfare 2 - Image 1If Activision's internal estimates are to be believed, then the much-hyped, much-anticipated launch of Modern Warfare 2 for the Xbox 360, PS3, and PC was successful as it was planned out to be, selling five million copies on its first day in North America and the UK combined.

Mass Effect 2 - Image 1All these armor freebies for Mass Effect 2 (Xbox 360PC) are frankly starting to get a bit ridiculous. Fight Night ROund 4 - Image 1Still hitting the ring at Fight Night Round 4? Good news, slugger. EA Sports is sending another haymaker over to pack more punch into the game. This round will see a neat price drop for the game, so those who still don't have the game will be able to grab a copy minus the ouch of the full price. For those who already have the game, EA Sports will continue post-launch support with some fresh new downloadable content.

Assassin's Creed 2 - Image 1Ubisoft's expecting a lot from Assassin's Creed 2 (PS3, Xbox 360, PC), especially since its predecessor holds the record for fastest selling new IP when it released. How much is that "a lot"? Yanis Mallat quantifies at the GameOn: Finance conference this week.
