Genuine adventure games are far and few between in this day and age, this is one reason we've kept a close eye on Thesis from Track 7 games since running across it at the now infamous E3 2005.We sat down with Track 7 General Director Fayez Daud and asked him to give us the latest on this Greek epic. |

It's been a long time since we've heard of Track 7's Greek mythology thriller Theseis.
Just when we thought the game has been scrapped, out comes a new batch
of screenshots that shows Track 7's sheer prowess when it comes to
graphics. These new screenshots show the modern-era Athens, both in
daylight and night time. A peek into what appears to be the Labyrinth
is also included among the shots as well.
Both Ancient and modern Greece may not look anything alike, but they do have one thing in common: lush and highly-detailed graphics. It looks like Track 7 is justified in taking its sweet time developing Theseis, based on how the screenshots look so far. Well, its better to take a look for yourself than just reading about them. Don't tarry and check out the screenshots!

If I were to describe Theseis in one word, it would be "creepy." These new screenshots simply add to that eerie impression of the game. No Bunnies, Butterflies, or Rainbows in this game. Theseis is about a pair of siblings out to find out what happened to their stepfather who is presumed dead. We recently had the chance to interview Product Manager of the game Demetris Papadopoulos, and he gave some very interesting details on the game. In a nut shell, Andronicos and Pheve are out to find what happened to their stepfather. They descend to the lower levels of Modern Athens and find a place where ancient mythology meets modern times. As the story progresses the true meaning of Theseis is revealed. Track 7 should be proud of their first game as it looks as polished (if not more than) some of the offerings by more established game developers. Theseis is slated to be released this year for the Xbox 360 and the PC. Be sure to keep checking back here for the latest updates on Theseis. |

Set in Greece, Theseis features the exploits of Andronicos and Pheve as they try to uncover the truth behind the disappearance of their stepfather. The game combines the realms of the natural and supernatural as brother and sister join forces to put to rest the struggle between good and evil that his disappearance brings about. We recently had the chance to chat with Track 7's Demetris Papadopoulos, product manager for Theseis, about their upcoming game. In the interview, we were given a peek as to what to expect for the PC version, as well as some hints as to what gamers might see in the future 360 version. More importantly, he gave us a glimpse of Greece, past and present, and that's something many adventurers, perhaps even Andronicos and Pheve's father, would have been willing to give their lives for. Updates about Track 7's adventure game Theseis (PC, Xbox 360) aren't really trickling down like raindrops on a cloudy and rainy day, so when we found out that Adventure Advocate had a sit-down with the Track 7 folks, we pounced on the chance to dish out what's up with the game straight from the devs themselves. More of the interview and screens after the jump! |

Theseis chronicles the life of handyman-turned-adventurer Andronicos Kalogerou. When Andronicus is called to an apartment building for some routine repairs little did he know his life would be changed forever. He discovers Theseis, a machine that is more explosive than da Vinci's code. Andronicus descends beneath the city of modern day Athens where he encounters the meeting of two worlds: reality and mythology. The game's developer Track 7 describes their opus as a game filled with "awe and dread, humor and split-second decisions, discovery and betrayal, the mythical and the mundane, are all intertwined in this fast paced crossing to the other side, where your only hope is the discarded rumor of ancient folklore, dubious medieval books and above all your wits!" And with hype like that how can you resist the temptation of watching the Theseis trailer? Download: [Theseis Game Trailer] |
