It was way back in June when Nikkei Corporate reported that both Koei and Tecmo were working on looking to combine their respective IP to unite their fanbases. While it's not the Xtremely Bouncy Dead or Alive Bikini Beach Volleyball that some folks were hoping for, the new rollout is still very much capable of meeting the now merged publishers' goal of bringing fanbases together. |

Tecmo and Koei have officially dipped their chips together Er, that is, they got busy. No, I mean they did the two become one thing. Uh, they merged. I'm no good with analogies. They are now officially known as Koei Tecmo Holdings. Too bad. I wanted them to take up a new name, like Kokomo or something... Ok, guess I'm bad with names too. |

A study says that playing sexy video game characters can make gamers (both guys and gals) feel insecure about their body-image. I assume this is the same brain fart that Shigeru Miyamoto got to inspire him to make the Wii. |

The good news: For the guys who thought Tecmo's DOAX2 was just all about some gorgeous bouncilicious (Read: gravity-defying) babes out to play some volleyball in nosebleed-inducing swimsuits, we found a video of them that does NOT involve the following: playing in the sand, swimming, chasing each other around, jet-skiing, sunbathing, changing swimsuits, and yes - playing volleyball.
The bad news: Two words - Pole Dance. While the vid's gotten rid of the elements that have made it such a hot item for dudes (and earned it the wrath of the dudes' GF's), we're sure you guys won't mind what the devs have left out as you watch the game's gals kick, spin, and duck in these these video segments...and they ain't even fighting. And if your girlfriend/mom/wife asks...you didn't get this from us. The vids should have a parent gate set up, so the kiddies won't be able to access them too easily. Enjoy, and keep your nose clean.) Lined up from top to bottom: Kokoro, Hitomi, Christy, and Kasumi. More videos after the jump! |

Today, we have another new page in the saga of Team Ninja's quest for the perfect CG breast. Yeah, we're talking about Dead or Alive Extreme 2. This follow up to 2003's Dead or Alive: Extreme Beach Volleyball has just been confirmed for a November release in both America and Japan. The European release date, although unconfirmed as of now, is definitely soon to follow. For the uninitiated, DoA Extreme is basically a game that lets you play a bunch of laid-back, water-related beach and poolside games featuring your favorite DoA girls in skimpy bikinis. Now, now, no watersports jokes please. The volleyball aspect of DoA Extreme 2 has been significantly enhanced, putting more emphasis on spiking and blocking. Aside from volleyball, you can also play racing games around Zack's Island using the ladies' Personal Water Craft, play tug-of-war, and lots more. Remember guys, November release for both America and Japan. Mark your calendars. For our European readers, we'll keep you posted when release information for Europe comes our way. Most guys know this game because of the realistic chest action. Well, although you can still expect that in Dead or Alive Xtreme 2, the devs assure us that this game will revolve on the word, fun. There's jet skiing and way more challenging volleyball. Team Ninja">Tomonobu Itagaki">Team Ninja made sure of that the leaner and meaner Kasumi and Ayame duo gets to show off their killer moves on you, so you might want to watch out for that. With the new jet-skiing option, you can see the girls pull off tricks such as riding backwards and barrel rolling after a turbo boost. And in case you're wondering, they're gonna be sporting skimpy swimsuits. Oh yeah, this option is playable online, too. Other games include tug-of-war and butt battle, which seem simple at first, but really call for sharp reflexes. Tomonobu Itagaki said that the improvements in the casino show each character's personality. So you might want to spend some quality time playing poker to get to know the girls more. According to Justin Speer, "Social aspects from the first game, such as gift giving and making friends with other girls, are also being stepped up" so you might want to look out for that. We also heard that the graphics is really good as well. The game's slated for release this year, but we're still not sure exactly when. But don't worry, we'll keep you posted, so just stay tuned here at QJ for more DoA updates. |

The scantily-clad babes from Dead or Alive Extreme 2 are back, this time delivering us fresh video footage of all the fun under the New Zack Island sun. This in-production game is a sequel to Dead or Alive Extreme Beach Volleyball. The video, which runs for a minute and 13 seconds, features the girls in a beach flagging game where players get into button-mashing action to help their characters reach the flag first and emerge as the winner. The game will also feature the girls in Personal Water-Craft (PWC) races, waterslides, and more pool games including tug of war, hip wrestling, and the return of the hopping game. In all, seven different mini-games are present, discounting the casino portions of the game. There are no updates as to when the game will be released. But in the meantime, have fun ogling the girls! That's right, eleven new videos have just been released - each and every one of them featuring the beautiful ladies of Dead or Alive Xtreme relaxing and having fun on New Zack Island. These videos include ones which show the girls going about their usual activities on the island. You know, swimming, jet skiing, basking in the sun, playing beach volleyball, pool hopping, playing pool tug-o-war, butt-bumping, and posing for pictures. The usual. Not that any of us mind at all, really. And yes, you heard us right. There is a minigame called Butt-bumping wherein the goal is for one babe to push the other one off of the floating platform that they are on with the use of those pristine posteriors. Fun under the sun, indeed. And we all have Tecmo and Team Ninja to thank for these visions of beauty. Download: [Eleven DOAX-2 Videos] |

Well, today we have for you three new scans from the ever so popular Japanese magazine Famitsu. These are from a game based on nothing but fan service, Dead of Alive Extreme 2, for the Xbox 360. The graphics of course are going to have even more realistic bounces and curves now that it is going to be presented on the Xbox 360, including tan lines! This time around it will include more than just volleyball, but also jet-skis and other beach activities. Take a look at these huge scans and feel free to click on the thumbnail for a larger picture.
