Gearbox Software - Image 1Texas-based studio Gearbox has confirmed that that they have indeed trademarked the "War Hero" IP. Superannution has reported that there are actually four titles stringed to this new IP, filed on June 18th of this year. More details after the jump.

R.U.S.E. - Image 1Add one more title to the list of RTS games. Ubisoft has just announced a new one called R.U.S.E, is a "one-of-a-kind" RTS game set during World War II whose main selling point seems to be a feature that lets players bluff and deceive their way to victory.

Activision Barks Back at PETA on Call of Duty: World at War - Image 1 War is hell, for attack dogs and humans alike. Just because dogs happen to be cuddlier than humans doesn't mean that they were spared the horrors of war. Activision has responded back to PETA's complaint about killing hostile attack dogs in Call of Duty: World at War.

It's no quiet time, as you may very well see in the game. It's got guns and blood, and you'll have to think fast and think smart to get out of hell.

EA logo - Image 1Hot off EA CEO John Riccitiello's announcement of a new Need For Speed game, some less exciting revelations were dropped. The publisher revealed that two of their premiere titles won't be coming out until early 2009. The games in question are BioWare's Dragon Age and Pandemic's Saboteur. More details after the jump.

Captain Blood, IL-2 Sturmovik: Birds of Prey announced for consoles - Image 1One of Russia's most distinguished game developer and publisher, 1C company, has announced two new game projects that will be their first on the next generation consoles. The two games are based on Captain Blood novels and the successful IL-2 Sturmovik flight combat simulation series.  Both are now heading to the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 (to North America with help), but even handhelds will feel some love as well.
