Final Fantasy XIII - Image 1Yesterday, we covered an interview with Final Fantasy XIII (Xbox 360, PlayStation 3) producer, Yoshinori Kitase, which had him reassuring fans that FFXIII going multiplatform did not compromise design at all. Today, we have here Kitase talking to GameTrailers, and admitting that the PS3 version has been indeed compromised to "keep both versions of the game identical."

Lightning - Image 1Final Fantasy XIII (Xbox 360, PlayStation 3) is still far from release but already Square Enix is eyeing the possibility of prepping DLC for the game. Speaking to RPG Site after GamesCom 2009, Yoshinori Kitase confirmed that they are indeed exploring that possibility.

Final Fantasy XIII - Image 1 Final Fantasy XIII still has a relatively ambiguous "Spring 2010" overseas release, but producer Yoshinori Kitase did have some good news for gamers in Europe. At GamesCom, Kitase confirmed that both the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions of the game will be getting a simultaneous launch there.

One of the major contentions that keep coming up is storage space, and recently producer Yoshinori Kitase once again addressed this concern.

Final Fantasy XIII logo - Image 1Remember that news bit about how the PS3 version of Final Fantasy XIII would have to sit it out and wait a bit longer for its launch because they're still waiting for the Xbox 360 version? Well brace yourselves cos this bit of news is sure to be flamebait. Apparently, the Xbox 360 version has been in full development for a whopping two months. As in, shortly before E3 only. This E3. Cue in paranoia on further delay.

Final Fantasy - Image 1It was in London that Square Enix talents Yoshinori Kitase and Takeshi Arakawa answered questions from curious fans about the famed Final Fantasy series, while promoting - but not limiting the discussion to - Dissidia. IGN was fortunate enough to have been able to present some questions from the fans, and what they got were a very interesting outlook on the series.

Final Fantasy XIIII can hear Katy Perry's "Hot'N'Cold" song suddenly play in the background ("cuz you're hot then you're cold, you're yes then you're no, you're in th--" ahem). Square Enix has once again stamped out rumors of releasing the Final Fantasy XIII (PS3, Xbox 360) demo outside of Japan. How-friccin'-ever.... there's a huge caveat here, and it's good news!
