Doom and Rage (PC, PS3, Xbox 360) developer id Software has joined Bethesda Softworks under the wings of new parent company ZeniMax. A press release announcing the acquisition of the former by the latter has just been released.

Yeah, the street date on Fallout 3's Point Lookout DLC has been broken, but even if you already have the retail codes, you'll have to wait until the official Tuesday launch to play it. Unless you're one of the lucky ones who managed to activate it before the lockdown, that is. For now, check out these new screenshots.

A day after Bethesda launched their various Game of the Year and Deluxe packages of Oblivion and The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind as digital copies via Steam, then came the announcement that Bethesda Softworks and 2K Games are teaming up together to provide bundles for BioShock AND The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion.

Finally, we hear something concrete regarding the release date of DLC #4 for Bethesda's Fallout 3 (Xbox 360, PC and PS3), entitled "Point Lookout". And no, this is no rumor either as the word came from a Bethesda rep himself over at E3.

I actually did a double-take on this press release right here. Reading the title, I was like, "no way" and then "yes way" and then "whooooa." Bethesda Softworks has confirmed that the Fallout 3 DLC, which have been reaffirmed by Pete Hines to be exclusive for the Xbox 360 and PC, will now also be coming to the PS3 starting this June! And what's more is that not one - but two new DLC add-ons are planned after Broken Steel for all three platforms!

With no relation to Brad or Angelina whatsoever, an Anchorage-Pitt retail pack for Fallout 3 has been spotted in online retail stores. The expansion packs are obviously for both the Xbox 360 and PC versions of the game, including the Operation: Anchorage and The Pitt DLC.

Canadian developer Artificial Mind and Movement (A2M) has been shopping Wet around for a while now since it became a casualty of Activision Blizzard's streamlining of Vivendi's properties. It looks like the stylish shooter has finally found a new home, though.

Fallout 3's Broken Steel DLC is the last of the three DLC packs announced by Bethesda so far, and it's probably the best one. Why? Because it finally gives you a choice in how you approach and handle the end of Fallout 3's main quest and finally getting rid of an ending for the game entirely. Hmm. Sorry, Karl, maybe the second time isn't a charm after all. Apparently, when Fallout 3's DLC was taken down after numerous reports of bugs and crashes - and subsequently put back up again for that second time - things are still not 100% operational. Bethesda has acknowledged reports of freezes that are still happening, even with the new version of The Pitt.

So the Fallout 3 DLC for the Xbox 360 and PC just went live a couple moments ago, and within a few hours, online forums have raked multiple threads reporting problems with The Pitt. Freezing problems, floating exclamation marks, some people say they can't even download the DLC to begin with!
