Trailer reveals GTA4 official boxart - Image 1Aside from "going gold" announcements, nothing says a game's almost ready for release as much as the revelations of its official box art. Check out the video over at the full article.

Half-Life 2 - Image 1 Half-Life 2 - Image 2

Groans and moans have resonated when the first version of the Half-Life 2 box art came out. Team Xbox said it best when they asked "who did this, an intern?" The one to the left is obviously the old one and the one to the right is the one in it's all its improved glory.

Yup, the orange backdrop with the white text just ticked everyone off. Fortunately, Valve and EA sensed the frustration among their fans and critics, so they came up with something new. The second pack shot isn't the Mona Lisa, but it sure as heck beats the initial offering.

Like the box says, the package includes not only Half-Life 2 Episode 2, but also the strategic Team Fortress 2 where players must assume diverse roles and act as units to ensure success. A completely new spin-off called Portal is also in the mix to enrich the action and add fresh meat in a series which has been in the top-tier for quite a while now.

Blazing Angels 2: Secret Missions - Image 1Ready for more ace pilot action? Blazing Angels 2: Secret Missions' box art just landed on this side of the interwebs and we're trying to muster what little information we can from upcoming title.

Aside from the rain of media for Ubisoft's Blazing Angels 2: Secret Missions at this year's Ubidays, little was known about the title. The video games casts the player as the leader of a secret pilot squad out to prevent the Third Reich from creating a weapon of mass destruction. Players will be able to choose from 50 different planes (authentic and prototypes) and complete 18 single player missions. The game also features multiplayer modes of up to 16 players.

Anyway, we'll get you more info on this uber secret title as they happen. Stay tuned.

Could this be the Halo 3 Box art? - Image 1Microsoft's Halo 3 have gone beta for some time now and still we can't get enough info about the game. Well for those who feel that way, we have here the "unconfirmed" box art for the said game's standard edition.

With the approach of the release date, it's inevitable that information like this will be slowly coming out. Now, the game has been the subject of quite a few conjectures and fake information that has been allegedly "leaked" from Microsoft. However, most of the comments and articles which discussed this box-art seem to agree that it's legitimate.

That said, Microsoft has been strangely quiet about this and is not giving anything away. Regardless, check out the box art and start checking your place for a nice area to display it in. Be sure to keep checking back here for more updates on Halo 3.

blurry box art

This fuzzy snapshot of Virtua Fighter 5's supposed box art was shown at IGN.com. Now if you squint really really hard, you'll see a lot of indecipherable Japanese characters (getting cross eyed...).

Maybe we weren't looking hard enough or we just couldn't understand Japanese, but supposedly the box art says that Virtua Fighter 5 would be able to support 1080p or True High Definition. So far, there have been no announcement from Sega regarding this which made a couple of eyebrows go into orbit regarding the claim considering the Virtua Tennis hype.

This is almost comparable to pictures of the Loch Ness monster, Big Foot, La Chupacapra, the Yeti, and alien spacecraft. We're hoping this picture would not join their ranks.

With Virtua Fighter 5 coming to Japan and the U.S. in February, we'll find out soon enough.

Microsoft is bound to release the first limited edition Xbox 360 Blue DragonCore System Premium Pack. Set to be available in retail stores at the same time as the game itself on December 7 for the Japanese market, the bundle is priced at ¥ 29800 (or around US$ 250.37).

From the pictures above, there's no denying that the box art and faceplate are both looking suave. It appears that the bundle includes the Blue Dragon game software, the original faceplate, along with a unit of Xbox 360 core system, one controller, one composite AV cable, one AC adapter for the console, as well as an Instruction manual. You can start making your reservations for this premium bundle by as early as 18 October.

Blue Dragon is an RPG offering from the game developers Mistwalker. Its story revolves around out hero, Shu, who has a shadow which takes the form of a Blue Dragon. It's up to Shu and his friends who have similar abilities to set out and save the world once again.

Check out the full details on Famitsu by clicking on Read. By the way, when you do so, you might want to have a handy translator with you, since it's in Japanese.
