Xbox 360 - Image 1Microsoft's corporate vice president of global marketing for interactive entertainment Jeff Bell has reaffirmed his company's earlier statements that there's no Xbox 360 with a built-in HD-DVD drive coming to the market. Instead, he said that Microsoft is taking an agnostic approach to the format wars and says that consumer choice will ultimately determine the future of high-definition video.

Xbox 360 getting IPTV via BT Group - Image 1 A few days ago, Microsoft announced that it will be going into a partnership with the British Telecom (BT Group) to provide Xbox 360 consoles with on-demand programming. While the service will not need the broadband TV service's set-top box, it seems that the setback is that the console will not be able to watch or record live TV. Details in the full article.

Soul Calbur IV Star Wars characters trailer video, clarifications - Image 1We were all positively shocked after knowing that Namco Bandai has decided to include Star Wars characters Darth Vader and Yoda to the latest installment of the legendary video game franchise Soul Calibur.

Blu-ray HD-DVD - Image 1Microsoft's group marketing manager for Xbox hardware, Albert Penello, said at CES 2008 that Microsoft could actually support Blu-ray on the Xbox 360 console if the HD-DVD format fails. Lode Runner - Image 1This console generation sees the melding of next-gen titles and old-school games making comebacks. It's going along nicely and another icon is set to join this party. Lode Runner has been shown off in CES 2008 and it features a lot of cool touches. Whether you loved it or hated it back in the day, you have to admit that seeing this blast from the past hop aboard the Xbox Live arcade is a welcome sight.
