Command & Conquer - Image 1Whoops! It looks like Electronic Arts's UK PR team has made a goof, announcing on Twitter that Command & Conquer 4 is now in development. On Shelves This Week: March 22 to March 28, 2009 - Image 1This week is like multiplatform game week. Pretty much everything that drops this week for both the handhelds and the home consoles are multiplatform: Wanted: Weapons of Fate, The Wheelman, Legends of WrestleMania... Looks like the only console to get some exclusives this week is the DS. But enough chitchat. Let's get right on to the release schedules!

Championship Manager - Image 1A good number of games play well on both consoles and PCs, but we all know that certain games belong to one or the other. RTSs, for example, are largely for the PC. The dev of Championship Manager though, believes that strategy games don't belong on consoles because he believes that console owners "don't want a game you've got to think about too much."

Electronic Arts - Image 1It's banhammer time! In order to streamline their system with Master Accounts, it looks like Electronic Arts is also resorting to some strict measures along the way. Upon explaining the new Command & Conquer forum rules, forum admin eaapoc said that getting banned in the forums now gets you banned also in the game. Oh, not just a game, but effectively all other EA games (which require your Master Account) too.

EA Games - Image 1You'd think that a publishing company will fight tooth and nail just to maintain a game title. Apparently, that's not sound business practice, as we learned from John Riccitiello. If something's not meeting quality expectations - which should be high - then there should be no qualms about dropping it off the cliff -- for good.

Tiberium - Image 1Electronic Arts has confirmed to Kotaku that development for Tiberium has ceased. Yep, the Command & Conquer FPS title that's been scheduled for release on the PS3, Xbox 360, and PC will never see the light of day. And why is that? Because it did not deliver the appropriate level of quality given the resources and time put into it.
