Halo RRoD - Image 1Oy vey... Looks like the New Xbox Experience dashboard update is experiencing some not-so-new Xbox woes. November 19: launch day for the NXE update. Not 24 hours after it went live, complaints are already piling up. Various forums online have threads and threads of people reporting anything from connection freezes, slow downs, lock ups, broken TV connections, and so many other different numerical errors... inlcluding reports of RRoD'ed brickage.

Xbox 360 - Image 1Following reports of rampant failures concerning Xbox 360 Elite units in the UK, Microsoft has denied the stories and downplayed the details which were divulged. An independent repair specialist took on Microsoft's side this time around, saying that Elites are far less prone to the notorious red rings of death which has plagued earlier versions  of the console. Grand Theft Auto 4 - Image 1 We have received assurance from Rockstar Games that they are working on the freezing problems of Grand Theft Auto 4 (Xbox 360, PlayStation 3). Sony Computer Entertainment of America (SCEA) is also working on the issue for their PlayStation 3 community but they have maintained that only a "limited number" has been struck with this problem. Microsoft repair center ruins Xbox 360 with sentimental (not to mention monetary) value - Image 1Yet another gamer relates his story of how Microsoft ruined his Xbox 360 after he sent it in for repairs. Oh, the console was fine. But - probably through some communication breakdown - they ruined the console's sentimental (not to mention monetary) values. You see, the console had signatures and custom artwork from notable members of the gaming community, all of which were erased when the console was sent in for repairs despite the steps the gamer took to assure it won't happen.
