Microsoft Europe's David Gosen has questioned the gaming industry's seasonal approach to game releases in a recent interview with MCV. According to Gosen, the focus on Q4 and Christmas releases has put the sustainability of new IP into question, and that a second or third release window will be good news for the industry. David Gosen, Xbox Europe's Vice President of Marketing, has announced that the Xbox 360 has just "sailed past" the 8 million-mark in console sales. This announcement comes in the heels of their unveiling of the new budget range, which includes Halo 3.

Cheapskates rejoice, Microsoft is adding three of its grade A games to its "Classics" collection - also known as the collection of "it's cheaper now" games. Halo 3, Mass Effect, and Project Gotham Racing 4 are each now available for GBP 19.99 (US$ 28) in the EMEA region.
