Ready for another dose of bromantic fist-bumping action? EA Montreal has released a new batch of assets for Army of Two: The 40th Day. Check out the new screenshots and a multiplayer trailer after the jump.

EA Montreal's Army of Two: The 40th Day (PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PlayStation Portable) got some floor time during the weekend at PAX 09 and our event partners, Left4Friends, were right there in the thick of it. Gamers are in for a lot of fist-pumping when Electronic Arts' Army of Two: The 40th Day hits retail early next year. EA Montreal has just announced the North American and European release dates for the multiplatform co-op shooter.

EA Canada just sent out this new batch of screenshots for the upcoming Fight Night Round 4 (Xbox 360 and PS3). It's a pretty varied batch, so am sure you'll spot at least one boxer you'll recognized. I know I did not find any one familiar. Maybe you'll have better luck, though.

Electronic Arts' promise last week to announce an EA Montreal game today is made good with this most recent press release. They've formally confirmed Army of Two: The 40th Day. Yeap, Karl B., you were right on the money! What's cool is that, while the game is confirmed to return to its home consoles (PS3, 360), it's also getting a PSP spin-off! That's a nice change from hearing all these other console games getting DS spin-offs. *coughPrinceOfPersiacough*

What's next for EA Montreal? Well, there's Need for Speed Nitro for the Nintendo's Wii and DS consoles, but apparently that's not the only project the studio is working on. Electronic Arts has revealed in a press release that they will be publicly announcing a new game from EA Montreal next Thursday, March 12.

Serious work is about to proceed for Mass Effect 2, if the formation of a new studio group within EA Montreal is any indication. BioWare is reportedly hiring 30 new staffers to support the team that's in charge of the development of the highly anticipated sequel to the action RPG title.

The events unfolding within the offices of the Need for Speed franchise are certainly faster with more exciting sharp turns and a fuller pack of nitrous boost than any map in their games. EA Montreal General Manager Alain Tascan revealed today that they are having problems with some groups of people who are rather affected by the subject matter Army of Two (Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3) tackles.
