Warhammer: Battle March - Image 1

About two weeks back, we reported that Warhammer: Mark of Chaos was heading to the Xbox 360, according to the German ratings board USK. Well, today we finally got confirmation straight from Namco Bandai. But wait, there's more. The announcement also included Warhammer: Mark of Chaos - Battle March, an expansion for the PC version.

First off, the Xbox 360 version of Warhammer will be called Warhammer: Battle March. According to the release, the console version will be sporting content from the PC version, with spanking new features, online play via Xbox Live, and intuitive controls.

Warhammer: Battle March will be featuring six armies to choose from, as opposed to the original PC version's four. Army customization will be available so you'll be able to tell your soldiers apart from others, and you can also make your units as scary as possible to wreck havoc into your enemies' hearts.

Players will also be able to control Hero and Champion units that progress as you play the game. Two control schemes will be available, one for the novice players while the other one is more advance. Online multiplayer on Xbox Live can support up to four players in two modes, head-to-head skirmishes or team-based war.

Warhammer: Mark of Chaos - Battle March on the other hand will sport additional content for the PC version. The expansion's content will include new units for each army, online modes, and an original campaign. The number of armies are also expanded to six to include the Empire, Chaos, Skaven, High Elves, plus the new Dark Elf and Orcs & Goblins forces (same armies as the Xbox 360 version).

Sound interesting? Before you start bouncing off the walls, note that Warhammer: Battle March and Warhammer: Mark of Chaos - Battle March are scheduled for release next year. We'll keep our eyes peeled for more info, so stay tuned. In the meantime, feel free to admire the screenshots for both the Xbox 360 and PC versions at the Full Article link.

Shadowrun - Image 1

Shadowrun is better known for the pen and paper RPG with mixes advanced technology and magic. We will be seeing a port of the RPG on the Xbox360 and Windows Vista some spring of this year. Here's another sneak peek at the new first person shooter from FASA Studios.

To the uninitiated, the Shadowrun universe is populated with humans, elves, trolls, and dwarves (or atleast they're the playable races in game). Naturally, each race has different strengths and weaknesses. As any fan of the pen and paper Shadowrun would tell you, the game is only loosely based on the RPG since there are a lot of differences particularly on the racial traits, magic, and the lack of actual shadowrunners.

Anyway, lets hope that Shadowrun lives up to its name. While we wait for a concrete release date, here's another round of screens from the cyberpunk FPS.

Shadowrun - Image 1

For fans of the cyberpunk table-top RPG Shadowrun, things are about to get a next-gen turn as FASA Studios is gearing up for the Xbox 360 and PC adaptation of the beloved RPG. Though nothing quite compares to playing the pen-and-paper version of the game, FASA has just released this new batch of screenshots to show fans that the video game version of the title is also worth checking out.

As previously discussed by FASA's studio manager, Mitch Gitelman, Shadowrun will be a team-based FPS which blends elves, dwarves, trolls, magic, and ultra-modern weapon technology (fine, fine, it's Magitech...).

So, as we wait for FASA to finally peg down a date that's a bit more specific than "Spring 2007," hold on to that d6 dice set and enjoy these screenshots as we start thinking of the nice things to come.

Make the list and check it THRICE, if you must. Rawr.

There has to be something either exotic or dreamy about nice girls named Alicia. So it is with Atari's Bullet Witch's equally exotic Alicia Claus. The devs at Cavia, inc. sure did hit on a nice name for her, and they did justice to that name by drawing her so impeccably... pretty (she did earn a nod from a certain magazine).

They even had Alicia model costumes aside from that trademark black... leather? Not in CGI or gameplay, but in a series of character model studies Cavia artists conducted to study the Alicia look, which they posted up in their blog a short while ago. At some points it does go from dark-arcanic to fairy-whimsical, but again, that's the allure of being a model for you. Hey, an Alicia in any other costume still looks sweet.

And in celebration of the holidays, the artists also had Alicia up as one of Santa's little elves. "With being the case that it is said, everyone who is Merry Christmas!" (blame Google Translate for that quote). Wait - her last name is Claus, right?

See the other faces of Alicia after the Jump!

Elveon

At the recently-concluded Games Convention in Germany, a trailer for the epic fantasy game Elveon was shown to the attendees. Set for release in 2007, Elveon is based on a comprehensive fantasy saga which goes back to the times of the rise of the advanced Elvish civilization. The gods have left the world of Naon in a rush; it is the place they had wanted to transform into their paradise.

Boasting of graphics that are supported by the Unreal 3 engine, Elveon, or "The book of elves", promises to be an exciting game to look forward to on the Xbox 360.

The Reality Pump developed game, Two Worlds, will allow its future gamers to be right in the thick of the battle driven by the hunger for supremacy of the Orcs to over the sapient races. Strange and ominous creatures whose origins are traced back to the times before the gods have come, live side by side with the Orcs, Dwarves, Humans and Elves. These creatures came to be known as the Second World. In the end, only one of Two Worlds is to remain. Some deep plot going on there, right?

Unfortunately, if you're one of the many who wants to test their gaming mettle in this one, you'd have to wait a little more. Although there has not been an official release date the game's publisher-- Topware Interactive, announced that it has delayed Two Worlds until Q4 2006 to give the developers additional time to polish the game.

According to Miroslaw Dymek, Technical Director of the Reality Pump development team: “’Two Worlds” is a milestone in our company’s history. We want to be sure that every gamer will have as much fun playing our game as we are having during its’ development. Therefore, the focus of our team will be to create a quality RPG game and not in making the previously mentioned September time frame.”

Xbox 360 gamers are soon to be gifted with to another role-playing game when Two Worlds is released. The game, developed by Reality Pump, is set to thrill players with awesome fights, engaging characters and a cinematic story set in a medieval fantasy world.

In the game, the desire of supremacy drives the Orcs to wage war against sapient races. Strange and ominous creatures whose origins are traced back to the times before the gods have come, live side by side with the Orcs, Dwarves, Humans and Elves. These creatures came to be known as the Second World. In the end, only one of Two Worlds is to remain.

We think the basic storyline is intriguing enough to pique the interest of RPG fans. With The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion hogging the limelight, though,  Two Worlds might just be in for one tough struggle.

Check out these brand-spanking-new screenshots from Zuxxez (via worthplaying.com).

Elveon

We cover the length and breadth of Naon, and submit to you our findings

Elveon is a title that gamers have kind of ignored, for whatever reason, maybe because it's not Gears of War, or Mass Effect, or Lost Planet, however, having seen the game in action behind closed doors at E3, we can tell you here and now that Elveon could very well be something quite special when it hits next year.

We've pooled our resources here at QJ to come up with every scrap of info we have on the game in order to present this glimpse into 10tacle Studios Epic Elvish action RPG.
