This one's definitely no rumor. Funcom itself has announced on their official homepage that they are cutting "around 20% of the staff...mostly in the Company's Norwegian subsidiary."

MMO creator Funcom is setting another mission for you to complete, with the revelation of a new heroine off to slay dreadful monsters. I'd have to say this debut trailer for The Secret World is looking like a cross between Parasite Eve (the flames), Silent Hill (the room layout), and Mirror's Edge (the heroine looks like Faith's younger sister). Here's another console port from the PC that's literally taking ages to get to it. Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures from Funcom was first announced for the Xbox 360 waaaay back in December of 2006. Fast forward to January of 2009, two years later, and where's it at? Still in development.

Gotta love a media blitz! Today via press release, Funcom's let out a whole big batch (and by big, I mean "a huge number of" and "hugely insane resolutions of") screenshots, screenshots, and more screenshots for Age of Conan. We get to see the expansion teaser art too, as well as comparisons of Age of Conan on DirectX10 vs DirectX9. Plus a sneak peak at the free content that's coming within the next few months! It's thumbnail enlargement time!

Funcom product manager Erling Ellingsen in the Leipzig Games Convention reaffirmed that the upcoming Conan movie from Lionsgate will have some pretty close ties to their MMORPG, Age of Conan. Details are still sketchy, and they've a lot of hurdles to overcome yet.

Reports have come in that the PC version of Funcom's Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures (the Xbox 360 version is still in the works) has dethroned Grand Theft Auto 4 (Xbox 360, PlayStation 3) from the sales list in both Germany and Sweden.
