Cute, but no thanks..Somewhat dazed and confused about what to pick up for that special girl in your life? We already helped you out on what games to buy for your little sisters, so why stop there when you need all the help you can get.

Xbox recently asked GamerchiX to do a sorta public service for the guys for them to have a clue as to what to gift they should give for their gamer (or wannabe gamer) girlfriends. There were lots of responses which range from the uber expensive (diamonds) to the somewhat sappy (a puppy).

Among the oh-so-many answers to that question, there were nine items that most girls would want to receive from their respective special someones. Well, here they are.
  1. Xbox 360 Wireless Headset
  2. Microsoft Points
  3. Subscription to Xbox Live
  4. Gift Certificates to EBGames or GameStop
  5. Xbox 360 Wireless Racing Wheel
  6. DS Lite
  7. Nintendo Wii
  8. Candles
  9. Spa gift certificates
If there are gifts to get, there are also gifts that you shouldn't get. The not-to-get list includes from lingerie (don't dabble on anything that has to do with sizes, unless you want trouble), stuffed animals, crappy clothes, a scale or a gym membership (unless you're the masochistic type or something) among many others.

GamerchiXSince men still outnumber the women when it comes to gaming, there is a lot of hype surrounding women who knows the great entertainment value found in the what-was-once a "male only" territory.

This is why Xbox Live's resident interviewer, TriXie, decided to form a group composed of casual and hardcore female gamers. Dubbed GamerchiX, TriXie would like to reiterate that it is NOT a clan but a group, where bashing of other gamers are not allowed. The GamerchiX manifesto reads (which TriXie claims to have written "in a shack in the woods"):
  • If you play games, you’re a gamer chick. Whether you’re an Xbox Halo 2 Champ, play RPGs on the PC or Mah Jong Tiles on MSN Games, you’re a gamer chick.
  • Xbox GamerchiX don’t talk trash about other women. Ever. When women stop hating on each other...we will rule the world!
  • Xbox GamerchiX support each other.
  • Xbox GamerchiX are good role models for young gamer girls.
  • Xbox GamerchiX are not pin-ups. We're all hot in our own unique way, but it's about the games and the companionship, not T&A.
If you do have the two X chromosomes and is interested in joining the group, just drop TriXie a note at xlmail@microsoft.com. Hmmm...maybe I'll go do that now. (^__^)v
