With just one week until the release of the most anticipated game of the year, Activision and Infinity Ward has released the official launch trailer of Modern Warfare 2 (PC, PS3 and Xbox 360).  The explosive trailer features huge gun fights, jaw dropping environments, spoilers and a little something to do in space, all to the tune of Eminem and Nate Dogg's "Till I Collapse." Does it work? You decide.

Just when we thought it couldn't generate any more hype than it already has (it is coming out really soon, after all), we were proven wrong. Modern Warfare 2 (PC, PS3 and Xbox 360) is in another controversy yet again as gameplay footage depicting what appears to be a massacre - perpetrated by the player himself - got leaked recently. Activision breaks their silence and explains.

A new leaked footage of Modern Warfare 2 (PC, PS3 and Xbox 360) has circulated around the net earlier indicating that the game might feature a third person viewpoint. Well low and behold, Infinity Ward's Robert Bowling has stepped up to clear the air and confirmed the big news to everyone. According to Bowling, the third-person mode will only be available in private matches. More after the break.

BioWare and Electronic Arts has announced that Dragon Age: Origins (PS3, PC, Xbox 360) has officially gone gold and is now currently in manufacturing ready for the November 3 launch date across North America.

The controversial Modern Warfare 2 (PC, PS3, Xbox 360)game has been examined and rated by the British Board of Film Classification. They have approved the game with an 18 rating in the UK

We hate to be the bearer of bad news, but there will be NO dedicated servers or mods for the PC version of Infinity Ward's Modern Warfare 2 (also on PS3, Xbox 360). Community Manager Robert Bowling, aka fourzerotwo, said so himself in a podcast.

Infinity Ward was suppose to offer a full cooperative play for Modern Warfare 2's (PS3, Xbox 360, and PC) story mode, but decided to drop it in the last minute because it ruined the experience. So instead of a full co-op mode, the devs decided to include Spec Ops mode. Check it out after the jump.

Infinity Ward has confirmed by tweet that there will be a Modern Warfare 2 (also on PS3 and PC) line of clothing for your XBL Avatars. Robert Bowling made the announcement, although no date was given as to when the said costumes will be sent out.

Did Captain Price die at the end of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare or did his mighty moustache pull him back from death's cold embrace? Infinity Ward intentionally left that ending ambiguous, perhaps to leave the door open for Price's return in the sequel. As things stand right now, it looks like that return is a sure thing.

For those who simply can't go through a game without showin' some Trophy (or Achievement) lovin', Infinity Ward has specified the badges you will be earning in Modern Warfare 2 (Xbox 360, PS3, and PC) to show off your prodigious skills (or that you have so much time on your hands).
