Atari, one of the oldest companies in the video game business, took an unfortunate turn and fell into a dive that was apparent last year. Now, in what's probably a bid to turn a new leaf, they are now headed in a new direction, and revealed that they will be focusing on online gaming. More in the full article. |

Alone in the Dark, Atari's final massive, mainstream videogame project 4 years in the making, will be releasing in less than a month, we're told from a recent interview with Infogrames' head honcho, Phil Harrison. Those who are still tossing dimes deciding whether they'd pick up a copy or not for their PlayStation 3s, Xbox 360s, Wiis, or Windows rigs may love what's coming before that. Atari has plans to release demos for before their version's respective release dates. |

Phil Harrison, Infogrames' new top boss, was never secretive over his plans to cater games to the new broader market. Alone in the Dark (PlayStation 3, PlayStation 2, Windows, Xbox 360) will probably be the last major mainstream title queued up in Atari's arsenal if this was true. Thankfully it's not - well not in entirety. Atari will still be catering to hardcore, but not in the same respects as before. Go to the full story for more. |

Atari has been sufficiently warned by NASDAQ as early as March to raise its stock value. Atari didn't, even with the completed merger with Infogrames. Thus, Atari is now delisted. What are its implication? Details over at the full article. |

Finally, the marriage is complete. After asking for a deadline extension, Atari has finally accepted Infogrames' proposal last March for a merger - to the tune of US$ 11 million. More details after the jump. |

Wondering just who the unlucky suitor was that got shot down by SCi Entertainment? Then wonder no more, as it seems the jilted lover pretty much came up and admitted to it. Who is it, you ask? Infogrames, the guys who brought us the Alone in the Dark series. Check out just what could have gone wrong in this deal at the full article, and why Infogrames thinks they could've been perfect for one another. |

Thankfully we are no longer blindsided when it comes to the release dates of Atari's Alone in the Dark (PC, PS3, Wii). However, if you can't wait until June 20 (Europe) or 24 (U.S.) to play the survival horror game on your Xbox 360, know that a demo won't rescue you from your impatience. Head over the full article for Atari's fresh news about the Xbox 360 demo. |

Sometimes, when people start over, they change their names. In the case of Infogrames, David Gardner and Phil Harrison are thinking of dropping the company name altogether in the interest of starting anew. More on this proposed new beginning after the jump. |
