Jeff Bell, Microsoft's Corporate Vice President of Global Marketing for Interactive Entertainment, was interviewed at the tail end of the Consumer Electronics Show 2008 a few weeks ago. During the interview, he commented on what the future may hold for Mass Effect's exclusivity. He also touched on the format wars (Warner Bros.' decision to go Blu-ray), and IPTV for the Xbox 360. Microsoft's corporate vice president of global marketing for interactive entertainment Jeff Bell has reaffirmed his company's earlier statements that there's no Xbox 360 with a built-in HD-DVD drive coming to the market. Instead, he said that Microsoft is taking an agnostic approach to the format wars and says that consumer choice will ultimately determine the future of high-definition video.

Mass Effect seems to be a massive hit, with more than a million copies sold in less than three weeks since its release. Its success adds to what Jeff Bell, Xbox 360 Corporate VP of Global Marketing, calls "the best holiday lineup in video game history", adding to Microsoft's previous statement that 2007 is the "best release year ever." It's been a busy week this Thanksgiving for Microsoft, who reports that  it had to replenish supplies to top retailers who had sold out of Xbox 360s for the shopping week.
