Battlestations: Pacific (also on PC) is getting two new download packs this month - starting today, actually, so said Eidos Interactive's press release sent out earlier. The new DLCs will have new units as well as maps for tailor-made battles.

Treyarch is also getting in on 4th of July celebrations in the US with a double XP weekend event for the PS3, Xbox 360, PC, and Wii versions of Call of Duty: World at War. Epic Games is readying a new title update for Gears of War 2, but apparently it hasn't passed certification yet so they can't give out a release date at the moment. What they do have is a list of all the changes included in Title Update 4. Check it out after the jump.

Following Treyarch's earlier announcement of Call of Duty: World At War (PS3, Xbox 360, PC, Wii, DS) breaking the 11 million units sold mark, we now hear that the game's second map pack has already been downloaded more than a million times. And in only four days, no less.

A huge update for Gears of War 2 today via press release! First up: some sales milestones. GoW2's already broken through the 5-million mark for worldwide sales, thus bringing overall series sales to 11-million. So to celebrate, Microsoft and Epic Games are announcing the new Dark Corners DLC Map Pack and an accompanying All Fronts Collection add-on retail bundle.

At the end of March, we received a pres release stating that Map Pack 1 for Treyarch's Call of Duty: World at War has successfully broken the downloads record on Xbox Live. The curious thing about it was that there was no figure attached to the report, although there was mention that more than 150 million people have already joined in the multiplayer around the world.  Today we solve that mathematical oddity as we have the figures for the said blockbuster Map Pack 1.
