According to feedback from a Midway focus testing group, the release and subsequent popularity of GTA 4 has changed the
expectation gamers have for open-world driving games from
arcade-styled to a more realistic model. This directly impacts Midway's Wheelman (PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3), which faces a few changes as a result. |

It looks like nothing is going right for Midway these days. The company
has just revealed that its stocks are facing delisting from the New
York Stock Exchange. This is just the latest in Midway's ongoing financial soap opera.
Layoffs, huge losses, and the resignations of some of its top execs
were only a few of the bad news that has plagued Midway these past few
months. |

The American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry approves: Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe (Xbox 360, PlayStation 3) can be fun for the whole family, and even mom and dad will enjoy exchanging blood-spattering blows, if not in real life. The watered-down gore seems to have worked out, and kids can go tell their folks that they can all spend quality time finishing each other off. |

Midway Chicago's staff had lost around 20-30 people as of last week. It sounded pretty bad and considering they're team responsible for
the Mortal Kombat (Xbox 360, PlayStation 3) franchise. Have the cuts compromised the next MK game? Mortal Kombat creator Ed Boon had some words about this. |

I never thought I'd see the day when Fatalities aren't set ablaze, mutilated, or even look like they hurt at all. Ed Boon shares his thoughts on Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe (Xbox 360, PlayStation 3), and how difficult it was to mellow the bloodthirsty MK folks down to kid-friendly DC level. |
