An unnamed source close to Joystiq has revealed that 2K Sports is currently working on an NBA 2K10 (Xbox 360, PS3, PS2, PSP, Wii, and PC) spinoff, which will be called NBA 2K10: Draft Combine. This spinoff is supposed to be released separately from NBA 2K10, where you are to train draft candidates to boost their attributes before drafting them into NBA 2K10. More after the jump.

The buyout of Warner Bros. of publisher Midway has been OK'd by a bankruptcy judge, making the US$ 33 million acquisition a sure go. The deal is expected to finally close within 10 days, this according to the reports by the Chicago Tribune.

Seems like 2K Sports is rolling out the red carpet for the 10th anniversary of the NBA 2K franchise. Team Xbox reports that a special limited collector's edition of NBA 2K10 is in the works.

As if in response to 2K Sports' decision to go with the Lakers' Kobe Bryant for the cover of NBA 2K10, Electronic Arts has revealed that NBA Live 10's cover athlete will be Orlando Magic center Dwight Howard.
