Activision Blizzard and Neversoft decided to yank custom tracks based on Super Mario Bros. and The Legend of Zelda from Guitar Hero: World Tour's (Xbox 360, PS2, PS3, and Wii) music-sharing service. The Nintendo favorites previously enjoyed status as some of the most popular songs available.

What happens after a development team gets dissolved? Sometimes they get shuttled off to other projects. Sometimes they get together, come up with a cool name and logo, and go independent. The people behind Robomodo chose the second option, and now they've got a new game coming up for Activision Blizzard. Find out more about the studio after the jump.

During the past couple of days, whispers indicate a new controller peripheral (other than the drums and microphone) will be introduced for Guitar Hero: World Tour - for its PS3 and Xbox 360 versions, at least. It turns out that someone got misquoted somewhere, but now it's been clarified. The so-called "new instrument" is actually a feature that uses the PC to record songs into your PS3 or 360 library. It may be a bit anti-climactic for some of you, but it's cool nonetheless.

Making its way around the Internet is an intriguing new rumor related to Guitar Hero World Tour (Xbox 360, PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3, Wii). This rumor is made interesting by virtue of it being a potential set list for the game. Find the rumor list after the jump!

Activision's Guitar Hero 4 (Xbox 360, PS3, Wii) aims to kick the music experience up a notch with the addition of its very own drum set.  While we're still going to have to wait until fall this year to give it a shot, it looks like a few drummers from our favorite bands got a chance to give the game's new controls a try. Activision has finally unveiled Guitar Hero World Tour, the game that we all formerly knew as Guitar Hero 4.
