Blue Orb's Switchblade now available at most download sites - Image 1If you've been playing around with JoyToKey for your secret "controller fix" on PC games that otherwise didn't have such support, you might want to try Blue Orb's Switchblade. The free software is loads heavier than the little joystick to keyboard utility but is more inclined for use with the Xbox 360 controller. Plus, it just got more download mirrors.

Orb Networks - Image 1

Orb Networks is priming itself to be a main contender against Apple's Apple TV. The company has just announced that their free MyCasting software now works with the Microsoft Xbox 360, the Nintendo Wii, and the Sony PS3, giving gamers the ability to bring all digital media to their TV screen without any additional costs or hardware requirements.

The free MyCasting software allows users to enjoy all digital media from their home PC, as well as online videos, on any networked device with an internet browser - be it other PCs, laptops, PDAs, mobile phones with support for streaming players, and now, next gen videogame consoles.

"There is a lot of anticipation on who will finally crack the code on opening the PC-to-TV connection - especially on what Apple TV can deliver," said Joe Costello, Chairman and CEO of Orb Networks. "That day is here and 17 million households - right this minute - can download Orb onto their home PC, then go turn on their TV, and using their game console, start enjoying any of the personal media on their PC or anything on the Web instantly - without having to purchase another gadget to make it work."

Nintey-Nine Nights homes in to Top 8!

Hacking, slashing, and cleaving its merry way comfortably into the 8th spot in UK's Top 10 Video Games chart is Ninety-Nine Nights (aka N3). A lot of gamers aren't surprised though, even if it was the only new game which debuted this week. Most of the gaming community has been anticipating this exclusive-for-Xbox-360 title ever since its release in Japan.

N3 is a tactical action-RPG which pulls the player into a massive war involving around, oh, just about a sea of 1,000 enemies. What's fun about it is that arms, legs, and limbs really fly around in the battlefield, and corpses that fall just remain there (not disappear into the soil or burst into an orb of light). Wo0t.

In the UK Top 10 Video Games chart, Cars still remains as the lead driver at the top position, followed by Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories, with New Super Mario Brothers occupying the third spot.
