Fable by Microsoft - Image 1Joshua Atkins and Amy E. Gilbert sent out a notice of their upcoming marriage last weekend. Congratulations to the now-newlywed couple. But perhaps you're wondering why their wedding is of any importance to this site. That's because the notice for their wedding published on the New York Times practically confirmed the existence of Fable III.

Xbox 360 Weekend Warrior - Image 1Weird that our Warriors won't be touching on the E3 event when that was undoubtedly the biggest news we had all this past week? No, not really. That's because we're having a separate QuickPeek Special Edition for that, so you watch out for that one as well. Besides, there are other things that happened in the industry that's not necessarily from the E3. Compared to the dirth of information we harvested from LA, they may not be as much, but yeah. They're still very much there to be sure. And so this is the Weekend Warrior that will not talk about E3. Don't just take my word for it. Click on the full article to see for yourself.

Molyneux, Microsoft Game Studios - Image 1Lionhead Studios' main figurehead Peter Molyneux is getting in on some double-duty as he gets promoted as Microsoft Game Studios Europe's creative director. Xbox 360 Weekend Warrior - Image 1Microsoft was definitely on a roll the week before E3, coming out with their own "leaks" and surprises. A new Zune is on the way, as well as a new TV/video service for Xbox Live. Games galore and teasers more, and frankly, I think we just broke the week-before-drought-curse for E3 this year. Don't take my word for it. Peruse below and see what you missed last week.

Lionhead - Image 1Lionhead boss Peter Molyneux has a bit of a reputation for promising gamers the moon. For his next game, though, it seems he's taking a much more subdued approach, choosing only to say that it's both "insanely simple" and yet "ridiculously ambitious". Well, that might not be much to go on, but we may hear more about this new Lionhead project next week at E3.

Xbox 360 Weekend Warrior - Image 1Wow, this was really an exciting week for the Xbox 360, wouldn't you say? From the back and forth MGS4 rumor, to the GTA IV DLC "exclusivity", our green blog sure had a lot to offer, didn't it?And judging from the looks of things, it looks like Microsoft definitely has got more in store for us in the coming months. I can feel it now, they're so set to give Sony a run for their money (although technically that would be Nintendo who's got all the money but... yeah. Never mind) in E3 and beyond. Are you feeling it, people??!?! The console race may have just truly begun.

Xbox 360 - Image 1Rumors and leaks are running rampant once again on Twitter. It looks like someone's feeling generous with Microsoft's planned E3 2009 line-up. The big MS has surely been rather tight-lipped about game announcements this year, and while we could expect certain few games to pop up in E3 (Alan Wake pls!), there's one sore thumb sticking out for PS3 fanboys and it goes by the acronym of MGS.

Fable II - Image 1Will there or will there not be a Fable II port for the PC? That remains to be the question as Lionhead Studios' Peter Molyneux continues to keep mum about this.

Xbox 360 Weekend Warrior - Image 1This week's news bin for Microsoft and the Xbox 360 is full of challenges: For starters, Peter Molyneux talks challenges for the new Fable game; there's Bethesda having more than a challenge trying to make The Pitt work out; a different kind of challenge arises for the 360 when an ex-Bungie dev claims Killzone 2 can run on it; and challenging Microsoft for his rights is Jamie Durrant, who successfully got a settlement for getting abused in the office.
