How many times will you ever see Captain America smack Iron Man across the head with that shield? The launch trailer for Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 would be one, and you wouldn't see too many of those scenes around. Well, Media Create's official Japanese hardware sales are out, and I'd have to say Famitsu pretty much had it down pat with their released estimates from yesterday, give or take a few couple of hundreds. Official numbers after the jump.

Famitsu's estimates on the latest hardware sales figures from Japan puts the previously down-trodden PlayStation 3 Sony console to a nicer spot at the top. That's much nicer.

PS3's still at the bottom of the heap for Japan's hardware sales chart for the week of August 24th to 30th, this according to Media Create. Take in the numbers at the full article.

Another major gaming event coming up - the Tokyo Game Show is prepping to get its game on this year. Publishers are starting to whip out their lineups for the said event, and today's lineup comes from Square Enix. To No surprise at all, they'll be taking a very FF-clad lineup to TGS 2009.

Handhelds are dominating the hardware sales charts in Japan right now, but the story over there is still the PS3 -- specifically the fact that it has dropped to dead last in the Media Create sales rankings. More after the jump.

Just hours after the launch of Madden NFL 10 (Xbox 360, PS3, Wii, PSP, PC, PS2) last week, Michael Vick was signed to a two-year contract with the Philadelphia Eagles. EA Sports is now working on rushing the Vick addition into the game to mark the NFL star's comeback into the game.
