Uh-oh. Square Enix is in trouble. No, they're not pulling out Final Fantasy XIII,
though that alone would cause some major problems for them as well.
Rather, they're being sued. Yes, Square Enix is being sued with a
federal class action, claiming that Square Enix of America has
"deceived 100,000 customers by not being upfront about fees and
penalties." |

Fresh from the press release mailbox is the success from the recently-concluded Game Developers Conference. The press release came with the heading, "2009 Game Developers Conference Once Again Serves As Focal Point For Worldwide Videogame Industry," plus a few stats on this year's events that made the whole thing, in their words, a "week of learning, networking, and inspiration." |

Looks like we'll have to wait longer for the next iteration of the Xbox. Blizzard has confirmed that previous rumors stating that they are in talks with Microsoft over a new console is bunk. |

The recently-concluded GDC 09 in San Francisco yielded a lot of interesting news about the gaming world. That excitement apparently flowed over to our Xbox 360 blog as we got a fair share of cool news and updates. We've got the people of Halo 3 doing a back-and-forth with whether or not there'll be more content for the franchise, the dismal and disappointing launch of the exclusive XBL DLC for Fallout 3, The Pitt, as well as some mahayjor drama in the MS offices, with an employee suing for homophobic discrimination, BBC pwning MS for the disc-scratching issue, and more. |

And Michael Pachter's at it once more. What's he got to say this time
around? This is the last console generation. Oh, I thought there was
gonna be another one, especially after the debut of CryEngine 3 and it
being next-gen ready. But am no analyst, so I could be wrong. |

LA is the place to be this February 12, for the launch event of Street Fighter IV. What? You don't live in LA? Sucks to be you then. What you can do though, is get yourself a chance to win a free plane ticket courtesy of Capcom. Details after the link. |

Remember the California video game law? The one that wants to restrict violent video games? Well it's back, and it may even go as far as the US Supreme Court. More in the full article. |
