With the announcement of Metal Gear Solid Rising for the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC, Shane Kim believes that Microsoft has "effectively" reached a "level third-party playing field" as far as exclusive titles are concerned. He made note of this observation in an in-depth interview with Gamasutra, talking about Project Natal, gaming initiatives and more.

"Conceptually, the launch of Natal will be like the launch of Xbox 360." That is what Shane Kim, Microsoft corporate VP for strategy and business development, told Kotaku. This ought to explain why Rare was nowhere to be seen at E3. According to Microsoft's Shane Kim, the Rare team has been busy being "intimately involved" with Project Natal.
