This time it's for real! The demo for Left 4 Dead 2 (Xbox 360, PC) demo is now out on the Xbox Live Marketplace. PC gamers, however, will have to wait it out till tomorrow morning.

It's been a while, and a lot of things definitely happened this week for the green blog. We have here some buzz pertaining to the supposed inclusion of Blu-ray into the Xbox 360, an expected subsequent denial, and piqued interest as to this possibility and more. Members of the Left 4 Dead 2 (Xbox 360, PC) Boycott committee dropped by the Valve offices for a visit, wherein they were given a tour, a small chat with Gabe Newell, and news that the Left 4 Dead (Xbox 360 and PC) team is still very much interested in beefing up part 1's universe, so much so that they are, in fact, cooking up another DLC to come after Crash Course.

Comic Jumper is the latest offering of Twister Pixel, the same group behind 'Splosion Man and The Maw. The hero, needless to say, is a pinhead, with a grumpy star-shaped character on his chest. Another odd duo, might I add. That means double the fun! More details and video after the jump.

A new expansion is coming for Valve's Left 4 Dead (Xbox 360 and PC). Thing is, on the PC, it's free. On Xbox Live, it's gonna cost 560 MS Points (GB£ 4.76 / € 6.72). Curious bit, huh? Well, Valve's Chet Faliszek has come out with an explanation, and he's pointing at Microsoft.

Earlier today, Konami and Kojima productions revealed the games that they'll be taking to GamesCom. Apart from showing off what these games have to offer, the publishers also promise special presentations of the games, and maybe they'll be sitting down for interviews as well.

We've heard numerous rumblings of Microsoft gearing up to finally enter the handheld gaming market full steam, but none of them has panned out yet. We still don't know what Microsoft's exact plans for a portable Xbox are, but Microsoft corporate VP Shane Kim says that it's no longer a matter of "if," but "when" and "how.'"

Speaking to Destructoid about Secret of Monkey Island: Special Edition, producer Craig Derrick from LucasArts explained the motivation behind updating the game. He goes on about the main reasons for the decision, but citing digital distribution as an important factor in making the Special Edition possible, the producer adds that digital distribution itself increases interest in retro gaming.
