It's not exactly a firm release date yet, but the release window for Gearbox Software's upcoming sci-fi shooter-RPG Borderlands has been narrowed down.

If you've been following the Prison Break star, Wentworth Miller, then you might already know by now that the guy just dropped a hint about his new project. In one word: BioShock. You have to hand it to the guy, he sure knows how to tease.

Joystiq is reporting that there will be a BioShock novel, thanks to the collaboration of Take-Two Interactive and sci-fi/ fantaasy publisher Tor. According to their scoop, the novel will consist of 400 pages, and will come out in both hard and softcovers.

Director says, "CUT!" So now Red Dead Redemption (PS3, Xbox 360) and Mafia II (PS3, Xbox 360) are prepping for their second take at securing that elusive release date. Take-Two Interactive has announced the bad news - the two titles will indeed need a take-two for release now that they're not making their scheduled Fall 2009 margin.

3D Realms is now denying that they received an offer from Take-Two Interactive for the IP of Duke Nukem Forever. Rumors swirled last week that US$ 30 million was put on the table, but the devs are saying that these are all just that - rumors.

When contractual obligations are not carried out according to stipulations agreed to by both parties, you can expect an ugly lawsuit to come next. What more if the agreement is not carried out at all? 3D Realms is about to find out the answer to that scenario as Take-Two Interactive files suit against what's left of the developer company for failing to deliver Duke Nukem Forever, via its parent company, Apogee.

Not so fast. Konami may have withdrawn their publisher's support for Six Days in Fallujah, but that doesn't mean the game's completely canned just yet. Atomic Games is still committed to finish developing their game: it's all just a matter of finding a new publisher. Which leaves us asking... who's going to pick it up now?
