Wide-eyed Blue Dragon protagonist Shu, along with his friends, are Japan-bound this coming December 7 and right about now is the perfect time to open up their official web site - and that is just what happened. Mistwalker has opened the site of the Sakaguchi-Toriyama-Uematsu brainchild complete with captivating sounds, official trailer from the TGS 2006, and some game info and pics. In case you haven't been paying close attention to this title, the game revolves around Shu- the game's hero. Shu is a standout because he has a shadow that takes the form of a blue dragon, now it's up to him and his cohorts to save the world. Nice plot, cute characters, the game is looking good so far. Hopefully, it will also go places in other territories. For now, you can check out the official Blue Dragon site by clicking on the via link. |

SEGA's game line up during the Tokyo Game Show, which included games for Next-gen consoles Super Monkey Ball Banana Blitz, Sonic the Hedgehog, Sonic and the Secret Rings, Virtua Tennis 3 and Virtua Fighter 5, received mixed reviews from gamers. Some say that Senior Production Manager for SEGA Erica Mason, is dishing out the generic PR about SEGA being on the cutting edge of technology and their dedication to be one of the best multi-platform developers, which dampened their mood. However, just keep in mind that the games are more important than all the PR stuff. To fully enjoy the games, maybe it's good to get some background on them first. Get to know more about Virtua Fighter 5's two new character's El Blaze and Eileen, to give your kicks and punches much more ooomph. Super Monkey Ball Banana Blitz for the Wii just went more bananas, with the addition of two new characters, YanYan and the Doctor. And would they miss any updates on their posterboy Sonic, being his 15th Anniversary and all? Sonic and the Secret Rings for the Wii and Sonic the Hedgehog, (which now has a demo at the Marketplace) received the bulk of the media hype. If you've already gotten your hands on the demo, don't hesitate to share your thoughts on the comment section, as well as the other games featured in the SEGA booth. In some parts of the world, the art of greeting and entertaining guests is a dying art. I was raised in rural Iowa, so I know that there was a time when the whole family had to greet the guest, then walk the guest to the dining room, and when it's all over, walk the guest to the front gate for a goodbye. But the art lives on at game conventions. One thing that we keep hearing from people who were at TGS (and other game and trade shows) is the whole positive, happy, and vibrant mood. The companies and developers seem really happy to see you (and that's the way it should be, because darn it, we're also doing them a favor by lining up and buying their stuff, and the least they can do is treat us like kings when we go to a game convention, right?). Well, in this video from Game Trailers, the booth representatives look just as happy and bouncy! They welcomed you to TGS. They walked you around their booths. That is the art of treating your guests with respect. Yes, this is another booth babes video. We were planning to post an article that looks back at the TGS, sort of like a "Now that TGS is over, what can we say about it?" But it seems that a very common kind of video that gives a general overview of the TGS, the booths, the layout, the sights, and the goings-on is a booth babes video. Honestly, we looked all over for a booth competition video or a just-walking-around-and-looking-at-stuff video, but they're more difficult to find and are quite short or blurry. So, even though it pains us, we brought you this video. A thousand heartfelt apologies. Download: [TGS Booth Babes 2] |

When it comes to Halo 3's release date, most sites out there would say this:
Now if you take the time to go to Amazon and look up Halo 3 you'll see this: For those of you who are a bit two lazy to click on the outlandishly huge thumbnail above and still can't read the date encircled in red, it says that the item will be available on Amazon on March 31, 2007. Now, we're not too familiar about the time differential between something being available on most retail stores and something being available in Amazon, but this could a least serve as a good reference point for any estimates on the release date. We're guessing that we won't be seeing much of Halo 3 news during X06, probably just trailers, and a playable demo only available to selected few. After all, it's only one week after TGS 2006, and most publishers, even Bungie, are under pressure to be picky about what games they're going to show off. And they just announced Halo Wars, so they're probably working hard on that one instead. Anyway, if news on Halo 3 do pop up we'll update you as best we can, so just stay tuned here, alright? Pre-Order: [Halo 3] |

Game shows are a dime a dozen. And TGS 2006 just finished. So what's one more conference to chuck up to your schedule? This time, eyes are focusing on Portugal as the country's first major event related to the video games industry is just about to take place: the Games2006 COLLADA Show. The show is going to be presented by PixelBox Academy. The agenda: the future of computer graphics. Anyone who wants to know more about COLLADA and Open GL might want to check the event out on September 27 - that's this Wednesday. So, what really is the next step for computer graphics technology? We've already gotten to the 1080p level. And some other 8-bit games from the "ancient past" are getting remakes. Where is the mothership of video gaming taking us? Is there even any other place that we can still go to from here? Have we reached the end of the rope? Hopefully not. That's what this conference is going to address. And these are the questions they plan to answer. If they do get to answer it, count on QJ to hear more about the updates, so check back again, around later this week. Who knows what kind of proposals and ideas are bound to crop up? |

The game may only be 75% complete, but heck, it looks great already! Straight from the Tokyo Game Show, we have here two new screens for Pro Evolution Soccer 6. It may not be much, but it still deserves the attention as it clearly shows improvements, particularly on the backdrops. Yeah, you may not find two screenshots sufficient for you to say that the game's really been improved. But don't worry, we also have the new trailer, which features the huge improvement in player animation. From the trailer, you can see the amazing detail upgrades on the game - from the vivid plays to the facial expressions of the players. All in all, it provides for some impressive realistic football action. Pitted against EA's FIFA 07, this game is set to make this football season more fired up. Download: [PES6 trailer] |

Most of you guys have seen dozens of pics of the TGS 2006. And some of you might have seen this or that article about the booth babes. Now, whether you're into the whole TGS fad for the games or for the booth babes, you'd surely want to see this video montage from Red_knight. The video goes around the TGS event, yes, but you can't help noticing that booth babes abound. Now, if you filter out all of those smiles, costumes, and legs, it's actually an informative video to watch if you want a tour around TGS and learn the layout of the floor. And honestly now, the babes games are really fantastic, right? That's what you're here to watch, right? RIGHT?! |
