This has got to be in the upper brackets of the "Weirdest Comebacks of All Time" list. Bayonetta (PS3 and Xbox 360) designer  Hideki Kimeya pulled a WTH moment in an interview when he proclaimed that, "I am bald, but I am not gay."

A lot of us still seem to be suffering from that E3 hangover. But that's alright. We've got plenty of back-to-regular-programming E3-after pills to pull you through. No ill feelings here. Tomonobu Itagaki and his ex-team have moved on - he has a new team, Team Ninja has new projects - and he only has the best wishes for Team Ninja and its new leader, Yosuke Hayashi. It's a refreshing change to see the man behind the sunglasses be so positive for a change and he even had enough compliments to go around. Good for you, Itagaki-san.

Microsoft was definitely on a roll the week before E3, coming out with their own "leaks" and surprises. A new Zune is on the way, as well as a new TV/video service for Xbox Live. Games galore and teasers more, and frankly, I think we just broke the week-before-drought-curse for E3 this year. Don't take my word for it. Peruse below and see what you missed last week.

The time of controversy and lawsuits have passed. Team Ninja has moved on and so have Tomonobu Itagaki and his crew of ex-Team Ninja members. Teaming up with young but skilled engineers, the new team is now hard at work on a new game. Speaking with James Mielke of 1UP, Itagaki and his right-hand men spill a few droplets of detail (and scotch) to give us an idea of what they're up to.

Deals have been finalized, hancocks have been penned, and maybe even blood sacrifices have been made too. Heh. I kid. But seriously though: Tecmo and Koei have announced yesterday of their upcoming merger. They're setting up shop on April 1 (and no, there's no Apil Fool's joke about it!), 2009, under the banner of Koei Tecmo Holdings. Will there be any room for ex-Team Ninja rockstar Tomonobu Itagaki though? Not if current Koei CEO has any say on it.

There's life after Itagaki. Tomonobu Itagaki">Team Ninja is still very much alive, even with Tomonobu Itagaki's departure. In fact, Tecmo's announced that they'll be bringing three new titles that are currently being worked on by Team Ninja to the TGS 2008 show floor! Will they be Ninja Gaiden or Dead or Alive titles, or new IPs? Who knows... TGS, here we come!

Tecmo's unquestionably in a bubbling tub of hot water the past couple of months, but could their luck be changing? Square Enix has revealed earlier that they have a proposal for a friendly takeover on the beleaguered developer.

Following numerous trials and tribulations (probably because of a certain rock star developer we might all know - cough*Itagaki*cough), Yoshimi Yasuda has now resigned from Tecmo. Details of his resignation weren't revealed, but the only thing we could get is that he's bidding farewell to the company for "personal reasons".

Tomonobu Itagaki has come to the second hearing of his lawsuit against Tecmo with guns ablazin'. He served up two chunks of evidence to support his case and force Tecmo's hand to pay him what he calls unpaid wages and bonuses. More in the full article up next.
