Call of Duty: World at War - Image 1The numbers are in from the UK and it looks like gamers are still too busy with Call of Duty: World at War to bother with Resistance 2, which entered the charts at 10th place. That's way lower than expected for the highly anticipated (or not) game.

Knife Crime - Image 1According to a panel consisting of youths from Liverpool and across the North West, indulging in certain movies, video games, and music encourages young people to carry knives and other weapons. The panel was questioned by local authorities looking for insight into controlling the recent rise in knife crimes in the UK.

Call of Duty: World at War - Image 1By the end of last week, November 22, Call of Duty: World at War (PS3, Xbox 360, Wii, DS) found itself still at the pinnacle of UK's Top 40 Entertainment Sorfware sales on Chart-Track. Other notables for that week are Need for Speed: Undercover which debuted at a respectable fourth place and Wrath of the Lich King eating a 32-place crit and dropping to 34th.

Microsoft - Xbox 360 global sales surpass original Xbox - Image 1Microsoft called it. Worldwide sales of the Xbox 360 has now officially passed sales of the original Xbox.

Microsoft's pretty happy about it, and they couldn't help but sling some mud Sony's way, saying they now outstripped the PlayStation 3 "in all the territories we care about."

Prince of Persia - Image 1With an announcement of Prince of Persia going gold, Ubisoft is also bringing more good news: it looks like Altair's Assassin's Creed costume is being passed around and recycled like fruitcake presents from three Christmases ago. After being donned by none other than Solid Snake in MGS4, Altair's red-and-white robes go to the Prince as an unlockable costume in Prince of Persia. Screenshots and more info in the full article!

Prince of Persia - Image 1Ubisoft rolls with the punches once more. Following yesterday's announcement of a full lineup of pre-order freebies, they're now officially announcing via press release their intentions of bringing downloadable content for the game! (Heh. Looks like Ben Mattes jumped the gun on the press release the other day.) We also hear of a new developer diary for the game, as well as a revamp of Ubisoft's official website for PoP.
